I reached a milestone this week by completing a book that I started four years ago. I’ve been starting and stopping working on it, as led by the Lord and about a month ago it seemed that He wanted me to finish it and I did. Today I’m submitting it for final copy-editing, to be followed by typesetting, and printing and hope to have it available by early fall.
It is entitled The Isaiah Manuscript and it’s a fictional account, based upon biblical prophecy, of how the great commission, (the preaching of the gospel and discipling of all nations), was fulfilled and every person on earth was able to hear the gospel preached in their own language prior to the Lord’s return and His rapture of those who love Him.
This book was profound for me because it was the catalyst that led me to found the Jesus Alliance. I’d been to Montana and had worked on it out there, and on the plane ride home. I was staring out the window thinking about how the Great Commission would actually be carried out and who would be involved. As I thought about it, I asked myself, Why not me? Why can’t I be a part of it? I heard God’s small still voice telling me, “Exactly!” And thus began what was to become my Jesus Alliance journey.
I’ve learned a great deal in the four years that have transpired since I received that message. I’ve seen wonderful miraculous phenomena occur, and I’ve experienced insane satanic attack develop against me and my family. I’ve met people from all over the world through occurrences that are simply so bizarre that it defies logical lucid explanation.
I’ve forcefully been instilled with patience; (something that had been completely foreign to me). I’ve been taught to wait upon the Lord and that it is His way and not my way that is important.
I could go on for an hour, but hey it’s Friday and you don’t want to hear me ramble. I will say that I’m glad I decided to write the book. Regardless of whether or not I sell one copy of the book, my life has been drastically changed forever for the better.
I will be eternally grateful that the Lord has seen fit to allow me an opportunity to work towards unity within His church in order to achieve what would otherwise be impossible, namely impact the entire world for Jesus Christ.
Today the Jesus Alliance has an excellent plan and strategy, smart people working daily on it, and we are ready to implement. We are attempting to be patient as we wait upon the Lord to provide the necessary funding. I have no doubt that He will do so, but I understand that it will be at the time of His choosing and not mine.
In spite of the demonic oppression by principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places spoken of by Paul I am much closer to the Lord than when I began working on this project. Satan does not want the Jesus Alliance to succeed and there is zero doubt that he is fighting it with reckless abandon; however as I told a fellow warrior today, read the last chapter of the Bible to be encouraged. God is fully in control and though we might lose a battle here and there and no doubt we will experience the realities of war being hell, we are going to win this war.
No matter what you might be enduring today, stay brave and rely on Almighty God to take the lead. You might suffer for a moment, but the glorious end will erase that from memory forever.
Have a great weekend and go to Honey Lake Church or somewhere this weekend. It is the second Sunday at Honey Lake and that means we have a superstar speaker who has one of the most beautiful stories on forgiveness you will likely ever hear. Her name is Renee Napier and her daughter was tragically killed by a drunk driver who was given a 22 year prison sentence.
Renee visited this man in prison and offered her complete forgiveness to him. This act dramatically transformed him into a true believer in Jesus and Renee even went to court to have his sentence reduced. Matthew West used her story to pen his great song . . . Forgiveness. Now Renee travels the globe, telling her story . . . often at Matthew’s concerts. Renee plans to bring Eric (inmate) to share his powerful story as well. Hey and if that is not enough for you there will be fabulous food there provided by the good folks at Honey Lake Church.
Colossians 2:15
“He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”
