What has become of our nation – “the land of the free”? One of this morning’s lead news stories reads: “The president of prestigious Smith College is red-faced and apologetic Tuesday for telling students on the Northampton, Mass., campus that ‘all lives matter’.”

Huh?

Her apology was in reaction to a backlash from students because she was supposed to say: “Black lives matter” and not “ALL lives matter”. Apparently she didn’t realize that only black lives are supposed to matter and she did what any liberal college president would do and quickly issued her most heartfelt apology.

Folks in case you don’t know it, political correctness is out of control.

Greg Lukianoff, President of Foundation for Individual Rights in Education said: “It’s getting increasingly difficult to figure out what you can say on the modern campus, even for university presidents . . . Too many of today’s students want freedom from speech rather than freedom of speech . . . The issue is a problem at colleges around the country, Lukianoff said. He noted that Columbia Law School recently allowed students to postpone final exams if they felt they had experienced “emotional trauma” from the Ferguson and NYC grand jury verdicts. Meanwhile the University of Hawaii recently prohibited students from handing out the U.S. Constitution in most areas of campus, and only reversed course after being sued in court. He added that such an atmosphere hinders learning at colleges stating: “It’s hard to challenge minds while walking on eggshells”.

These students are heirs to this beautiful country we’ve left them. The loss of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and other freedoms is well underway. The laws of the land have not caught up with political correctness, but are narrowing the gap as young folks graduate and assume positions of power and influence.

I sadly shook my head as I read this story today and muttered, “What have I done to my grandchildren? I should have done more when I had a chance. Maybe if I’d entered the political arena I could have made a difference.”

Sigh . . . Theirs will be a different world than mine. Writing a devotional like this will not be allowed and in fact as evidenced by my volume of hate mail is already considered hateful by many.

Bah . . . I don’t care. I’m not a racist and neither were those police officers. The truth is the truth. Two huge men, (habitual offenders) committed crimes and then resisted arrest. They happened to be black. I’m convinced that had they been Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic, or Serbian, they would have met the same fate. I was beaten by police officers when I resisted arrest and I can personally attest to the correctness of the lyrics: “I fought the law, but the law won” because I never won one of those encounters. Everyone on the street knows that to resist arrest is inviting serious injury to yourself and even possible death particularly if the police feel threatened. It doesn’t matter if you are black, brown, white, or maroon, you don’t resist arrest.

It is all political and President Obama, Eric Holder, and tax evader Al Sharpton are stirring the pot for their own ambition. It’s no different than Diane Feinstein releasing an incendiary report that is sure to incite violence all over the world and get some of our valiant soldiers and intelligence officers killed. She did it solely for political reasons. Make no mistake, people who are alive and well today will lose their lives and property, but her agenda was to get the report out before the Senate went over to Republican hands and her mission has been accomplished. I hope she and others remain proud of their work as they watch the mayhem unfold just like it unfolded in Ferguson and all over the country. The blood that is sure to be spilled will be on her head.

These so called leaders need to understand that ALL lives do matter including police officers, military servicemen, and intelligence officers who are risking their lives in a dangerous world of violence and death in order to try and protect our country’s citizens and avoid our having to live under Sharia law.

Ms. Smith might want to think about her opportunity to be a college president under Sharia Law to understand this logic. Maybe the mayor of NYC would think twice about denigrating the police if those same police officers refused to protect him; same with Obama, Feinstein, Holder, and those professional athletes who are joining the fray.

I hate to see what is happening to our country. This anarchy led by rulers of darkness is a sign of the End Times.

I say: Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Eph. 6:12

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
