I love the cool weather that has moved in and at long last ushered in my favorite time of year in Northern Florida. October through May is glorious; alas June through September can be a bit tedious with the heat and humidity, but that season has passed.
I hope the season that we have endured in the United States Senate is going to pass in about thirty days and Harry Reid will at long last be deposed. Perhaps it will allow much needed legislation to make its way through Congress and bring some relief to suffering citizens.
In Florida we have a choice between former Governor Charlie Crist who has completely changed his position on everything most Christians hold sacred, including his going from a pro-life position to a pro-death via abortion stand; he also went from supporting marriage between a man and a woman to same sex marriage between homosexuals; and now he is advocating the legalization of marijuana. It seems that he will take any position in order to gain elective office. Sadly he seems to be running neck and neck with Governor Scott and the election is too close for comfort.
Over half of evangelical Christians did not even vote in the last election. If they had Obama, (and his antichrist agenda-following crew), would not be in office. I cannot see how any true believer and follower of Christ (and who voted their convictions) would vote for someone like Obama who supports third trimester abortion (and immunity for any doctor that kills a baby that survives an abortion outside of the womb). Nor could they support gay marriage and/or the current intense assault on freedom of religion while championing the Muslim religion.
Do you think that politics should not be addressed by the church? If so you defy the teachings of the Bible. You are OBLIGATED to vote and to vote convictions as defined in the Bible. The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 1, “Choose some well-respected men from each tribe who are known for their wisdom and understanding . . . ”
That doesn’t sound like Obama, Harry Reid, or Nancy Pelosi. Choose replacements for them based on biblical principles and no other criteria. We are suffering for not voting and we need some relief from the heat. This is one season that WE can change – Vote!
