Last night I attended an employee cookout and night sport shooting activity at Honey Lake and everyone was having a grand time. A buddy called and we discussed his flying out for our Renewal of America Prayer Meeting where he will be one of our speakers. He will be in California the first day of the event and will take a long arduous flight throughout the night in order to get here in time for the final day of the event. He is one of the most sought after speakers in the country concerning the subject of cultural transformation and stays slammed with speaking engagements.
He did the same thing at the last Renewal meeting; he caught a redeye to Jacksonville, drove through the pouring rain to Honey Lake and got in during the wee hours of the daybreak. That morning he gave his speech, and then had to leave immediately, drive back to Jacksonville, and take a tortuously long flight all of the way to Hawaii and right after he landed he was whisked to the hotel and spoke within minutes of his arrival.
I was applauding his effort and he joked that the money was so good he just couldn’t afford to pass it up. We laughed heartily because he is being paid nothing, not even for his airline ticket. Then he mentioned a good friend of his that is considered to be one of the premiere speakers in the country. He told me that he felt he might convince him to come “on his own dime” as well and speak to our group.
I encouraged him to call him and made the wisecrack that he offer to split some of his fee as an enticement; and then I said, “Oh what the heck, tell him if he’ll come speak to us, I’ll split my pay with him too”. This time he laughed heartily because I’m not getting paid anything either and I’ve been working fulltime on it for a year.
His staff members and family have questioned his sanity as have some of my friends and family. In fact my wife was telling me that it was a shame that I was on the phone for so long during our employee recognition event. That was right before I told her that I had to leave the party in order to get a letter out and make another call concerning the Renewal effort.
Some friends came by Honey Lake this week and during our conversation one of them told me that I was working too hard and needed to take a vacation. I told him that I felt a real sense of urgency for what is happening to our country. I’ve studied the Bible for 42 years and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that we are speeding towards a one world government that is so evil and repulsive that it is surreal. I want to do what I can to evangelize those who are willing to listen to the Gospel before that occurs. I believe that we must step up to the plate and do something now or never. In other words, I’m all in! It is that important . . .
So many people are oblivious to what is happening to our country and are going around like in the days of Noah, marrying, partying, going to soccer games, the beach, and living large. One day not too far into the future it will be too late and the door to salvation will slam shut and billions will be lost and separated from God FOREVER. I fear that many of those among us who are currently caught up in the lusts of this world will be swept away too.
The pervasive evil that is overtaking us today is predicted in the Bible. It states that there will be many antichrists that come ahead of the one that will rule during the tribulation. If you want to see some of them, just view any form of media. Dr. Ben Carson mentioned on a television show the other night that “those in the ‘know’ realize that Saul Alinsky’s playbook is being followed to the letter and our country is being systematically destroyed”. The problem is that most people I encounter don’t seem to believe it, and/or care, and are totally absorbed by the routine of their lives.
Someone wrote me the other day and wanted to know why these Godless folks want to destroy America. After all most of them made their own fortunes in the United States (thanks to capitalism) and one would think they would be appreciative.
Why? Because wealth and fame is not enough, they want power and they choose darkness over light.
Why is there evil in the world? Only God can answer that one, but the Bible tells us that it began with the sin of pride on the part of Lucifer. He wanted to be God and rule the world and the fallen angels wanted to rule with him. There are plenty of humans that have lusted for power including Adolf Hitler, Stalin, and Saddam Hussein, to name a few. Today we have others following their evil path including George Soros and his murderous Progressive Party who are driven by a satanic lust for power where evil reigns and Christianity is driven out.
God refers to satan as a murderer, liar, and destroyer, and that he is launching all out spiritual war against us. The problem is that if anyone tells this as it is, they are portrayed to be a radical conspiracy theory nut, hater, homophobe, fundamentalist, and potential terrorist.
What will wake up society? Apparently the health care takeover, the environmental industry takeover, failing education system, corrupt government, propaganda driven media, entertainment industry of sleaze, decline of religion, the destruction of the family with rampant divorce, alcoholism, suicide rates, addiction rates, unparalleled incarceration rates and all of the rest don’t resonate.
I wish I knew how to message to people the real extent of what is happening in order that they might get off the couch and do something other than pursue their own enjoyment or personal gain.
Many of us are trying to sound the alarm. I don’t know how many will heed it, but I do know that the Bible promises that every person must hear the Gospel before the end can come. According to many experts that I know, about 10% of the world population has not heard the word of God preached. Ministries all over the world are working night and day to reach those people and to preach the Gospel and make disciples of all nations. Our work is almost done.
When it has been completed the Bible states that the end will come. Please pray about joining our effort, uniting the true believers in this country and leading the lost to Christ.
