Is anything too difficult?

I’ve been working like the dickens to get everything prepared for the upcoming Renewal of America Prayer Summit that will be conducted at Honey Lake Resort beginning bright and early Monday morning.

People from all over the United States and some international visitors will attend. Our goal is to blanket the Renewal of America effort in prayer and effect positive change in America by mobilizing prayer warriors everywhere to pray for our country 24/7.

We will message our constituents that God is the advantage that we have over the enemy. We need to pray that God will go before us: Deut. 31:8 “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.

From the day God first gave me the vision for Renewal of America through yesterday there have been naysayers. By now I’ve heard it all, “They have too big of a head start in every area; it’s too late we’ll never change our culture”; It’s too big of a challenge”; What makes you think you can do this? People have been trying to unite Christians since Christ was crucified with no success!” – Yadda – yadda – yadda.

Bah . . . We serve the same God that spoke the world into existence, parted the Red Sea, reestablished Israel in the Holy Land and defeated its Middle East enemies including powerful Egypt in just six days without so much as having an established army.

God made His persona known to Jeremiah when He declared: Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all mankind; is anything too difficult for Me?” Therefore thus says the LORD, “Behold, I am about to give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it . . .

And he did!

Nothing is too difficult for God and my life’s verse reflects that promise: Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” God would not have permitted that verse to be included in His word unless He meant every word of it.

In John 15:16 God states – You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give to you.

Renewal of America is designed to bear fruit and is being done in accordance with this verse: Mark 16:15 – “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’”

In order to accomplish that goal God has told us that we must make big changes to our culture in order that more may be receptive. We intend to do just that and all of the naysayers on this planet will not dissuade us.

It states in 2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

His “people” refers to His entire church and not a couple of dozen leaders. We must all pray. I had to be out of town to offer my testimony at another church in Alabama last weekend. Our pastor told me that our church was very poorly attended last Sunday. It seems that so many folks found other things to do.

I do hope that you will make it a point to attend church this weekend as a lover of God and not the world and you will pray for our efforts to heal our nation. America will not heal itself and every member of the church is needed to pray for its citizens to renew their faith in God.

Have a great weekend and go to Honey Lake Church, (or somewhere) this weekend.

2 Tim. 3:1

But realize this, that in the last days, difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
