A very intelligent Godly friend asked me yesterday if I thought that America could really be restored.
He does not!
He thinks God has lifted His protective hand from America and it’s too late and that we are already under judgment for our dark sins against God, not the least of which is abortion which has allowed 63 million babies to be destroyed in this country, (not to mention the lives lost in third world countries around the globe to whom this evil is being exported).
I responded to my good friend that I do believe America can and will be restored. I don’t know how long it will stay that way, but I don’t think that God is through with America yet. I believe there is a strong remnant left in this country and God is in the process now of calling them up to wage a holy war against the evil forces that seek to devour us.
My friend and others point to our corrupt leaders who lack any vestige of moral integrity and honesty as proof positive. Obviously these forces are indeed pursuing a dark agenda of “if it feels good do it” and they actively promote their lusts including same sex marriages, legalization of drugs, pornography, promiscuousness, Roman style violence for entertainment, greed and materialism, removing God from society, and persecuting His church.
I wholeheartedly agree that we individually and as a nation are undoubtedly suffering as the result of our sins, but is it judgment, or consequence for those sins? Is it irreversible?
Hmmm . . . I’ve studied the Bible now for 43 years and I can guarantee that the “End” cannot come until, and unless revival comes. I believe America will lead the way in this our third, (and last), Great Awakening and revival. I believe people all over this land are fed up with the way things are and that they are right now beginning to rise up and say, “ENOUGH!”
The Bible is clear that the Gospel must be preached to every nation and that many will hear it and be saved and only then will the “End” come. Heretofore the entire world has enviously looked to America as a “shining light on the hill”. Throughout her history America has prospered mightily as no nation before her, and our light has brightly shone upon a dark world. We have been blessed because we pledged our allegiance as “One nation under God”, and our currency stated “In God we trust”, and one of our greatest songs was, “God bless America”, and we publicaly prayed in schools and elsewhere, and the Ten Commandments were proudly displayed in our courthouses, and we honored life and we instituted and enforced laws against taking the life of an unborn child, we fulfilled God’s desire for us to glorify His name by honoring His laws and He has accordingly mightily blessed America and its citizens.
But sadly we’ve silently stood by and allowed the enemy to all but destroy our nation’s heritage of faith in God, and as a result our “shining light on the hill” now grows dimmer by the day, and those same countries around the world are now watching an America that has lost its moral compass and is no longer a beam of hope to anyone.
As confirmation we can look to the recent comments of Lech Walesa, (the Nobel Peace Prize-winning former President of Poland), when he stated ” . . . In terms of politics and morality, America no longer leads the world” . . . He and other world leaders are deeply saddened by what is now happening in the United States of America because the world needs that beacon of hope shining throughout the world.
With that said there are countless instances in the Bible of nations that suffered from the consequence of their sins, but turned to God and were restored, (at least for a while). One of the most notable leaders to effect change was Josiah. Not long ago a buddy sent me an e-mail stating that the Lord had him studying the life of Josiah, the only king who totally honored God as king of Israel for 31 years. His study revealed that the process for a nation’s renewal is
1. Personal renewal, repentance
2. Personal change occurs
3. Public change is implemented by a leader
4. Public reform occurs
God is assembling leaders from around America and as far away as Sweden to gather at Honey Lake in March to begin the arduous task of formulating a plan to unify God’s army. It is my prayer that renewal similar to what Josiah implemented will occur.
Pray for repentance for idly standing by and allowing our beloved country to be taken apart by the antichrists of the world. Pray for renewal.
Remember God always maintains a remnant. Yesterday I received an e-mail from a movie producer in Hollywood who is going to attend our meeting. He wrote in part: “I really resonate with your vision; it’s something we are also deeply passionate about and working hard on in the entertainment business. The tide is turning. So I would love to be a part of this.
Also, another person that might be interesting is Jeremy Boring who runs a private organization in LA called “Friends of Abe”. He runs it for a really amazing guy named Gary Sinese (Lt. Dan – Forest Gump, Apollo 13, CSI: NY) Gary has become a very good friend and started FOA to unite conservatives in Hollywood. It’s underground and private but there are now 2000 of us, many very well-known people. Basically conservatives, Catholics and evangelicals concerned about the same things you are – Might be an interesting conversation.”
Hollywood, one of the most powerful satanic strongholds of the world, has a remnant, Washington D.C. has a remnant; NYC has a remnant; Seattle has a remnant; San Francisco has a remnant. God always reserves a remnant of His people to wage war against satan.
So back to the original question, is it too late – Has God rejected His people? Romans 11:1 – By no means! . . . Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.”
But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.
Is it too late? My answer is “So too at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace” and if you look for them, God will open your eyes and reveal them to you . . . Selah! Heck no it’s not too late!
Onward!
2 Cor. 4:5
Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.
