A plethora of people come to Honey Lake each week and several of my buddies routinely ask if I’m sorry that I decided to build a resort on it and thereby have so many people invade my private space. Actually I’m glad that they come; the overwhelming majority of our visitors are wonderful, interesting people, and it is fun to meet and greet them each day. Life is far more interesting than if I was living out in this beautiful place all alone.

I was thinking that our visitors are much like the people that inhabit the planet in which we live, in that the world is diverse. It is comprised of the very old down to the very young and contains every ethnic and cultural iteration imaginable. That is how I would describe our visitors.

Yesterday morning, at the request of my good friend radio personality Preston Scott, I spoke at ENT, (Every Nation Tallahassee Church). I went on their website prior to my visit and happened to notice that the church stresses diversity and sure enough when I got there it looked like an ethnic melting pot of young and old worshippers.

The service was lively with tremendous praise music celebration. The singers and musicians were playing their instruments and singing their hearts out to the Lord and the crowd was fully into it, and I have no doubt Jesus was right there among us enjoying every moment of it.

I’m certain that in heaven there will be perpetual worship services in progress and as I soaked it all in I mused how this church is a wonderful warm up and taste of the fun that will be had by one and all in due time.

After the praise music and some prayer I preached about hope and change and how it was not available from politicians or government, but only from God. I shared how God had transformed my wretched life to one of peace, joy, and love.

Afterwards we conducted an alter call and people began streaming down to the front of the church ready to begin a better life by surrendering to God and having their sins forgiven. Before it was over the entire front of the church was filled with people with tears of joy cascading down many of their faces as they asked Jesus to fill them with His Holy Spirit of love, and it was an emotional, happy time for all of us.

ENT church intends to have a baptism ceremony soon and the people who made decisions yesterday will now be able to join those who came before them in following Christ in obedience in baptism after they found their salvation.

I urge you to find a church like ENT and get with the program. So much is wrong with our lives and this country it can be depressing; however a dose of a church service like this can easily make those problems fade far away and even disappear. The Bible tells us that Jesus said that He came to give us life in order that we might live it more abundantly. I know in my heart He was thinking of times like yesterday morning when He spoke those words.

I hear from so many people who refuse to go to church because of some hypocrites or religious laws and ritual that dwell in some churches. Folks, not all churches are like that. Don’t miss out on your celebration with God. We go to church to see God and not necessarily the members of the country club or have some PhD impress us with his knowledge of liturgy, and there are plenty of churches that get that notion.

Words cannot adequately express how I felt standing there leading those people in prayer. I’ve closed multi-million dollar deals, won awards, and achieved significant things according to worldly standards that pale into abject insignificance when compared to seeing those lives begin their march towards heaven.

I hope you went to church yesterday and if you did that it was an uplifting experience. If not find a church where it will happen. Go to ENT or maybe some other church like it. We will be opening the Honey lake Plantation Church in late October or very early November. I urge you to join us, and I promise that worshipping the Lord will be the entire purpose and focus there and a good time will be had by all.

We are currently creating a website for it and will give more details including information about our lineup of rotating speakers, and our Honey Lake Gospel Singing Brunch that will be held after services on the second Sunday of every month.

Hey if this doesn’t sound like fun, then stay home – If you can’t enjoy something like this, then you probably won’t enjoy heaven either.

John 10:9

Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
