Well Christmas day is just about here again. What a great day of celebration. Kids, (adult and otherwise), everywhere are going to be opening presents and enjoying themselves, but the real celebration is the birth of Jesus. The only day that is better is Easter morning. Christ arose on that day and a new beginning emerged for all of humanity.

We celebrate Christ’s birth on Christmas day and His rebirth later next year. No it is not about Santa Claus, nor the Easter bunny, those are worldly. Although Xmas, Happy Holidays, and Easter eggs are politically correct with the liberal media and worldly circles, Christ will not be taken out of Christmas, and Merry Christmas will continue; the cross will not be replaced by the Easter bunny as much as satan would love to see it happen. Millions of Christians understand the significance of Christmas morning and millions more will gather on Easter morning celebrating the fact that Jesus Christ could not be contained by a grave, and He arose as a victor over death and sin.

As you view the nativity scenes, (that the ACLU will allow to be displayed), think of something. Everything in the Bible is significant. Jesus was wrapped in swaddling clothes. What are swaddling clothes? They were used to wrap the dead. The three wise men brought gifts to the infant Jesus. One brought myrrh. What is it used for? Myrrh is the gift for one who is to die and was used to embalm bodies. They also brought Gold which signifies royalty and being the king of metals is a gift befitting a King. The wise men also brought frankincense which is a priestly gift and its sweet aroma was used in temple worship. Jesus was born the true King, the perfect High Priest, and in the end the Supreme Savior of all of mankind.

Next year is nearly upon us. What can you do for Jesus your High Priest, King of Kings, and Supreme Savior next year? Think about it…

Ephesians 4:30

And do not grieve the Holy

Spirit of God, by whom you were

sealed for the day of redemption.

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger,

clamor, and evil speaking be

put away from you, with all

malice.

And be kind to one another,

tender-hearted, forgiving one

another, even as God in Christ forgave

you.
