Start them young

I was fortunate enough to spend some quality time with my granddaughters last night. It is amazing how fast they are developing. They are “very” mobile and have been incessantly jabbering like Mynah birds. One of them has learned to talk; well somewhat, we know what she wants. She says “num num” and that indicates that she wants a cherry flavored treat. I was in hopes that her first words would be “Papaw the great”, but alas she has elected to go with the cherry flavored treats and trust me she knows how to get them. The twins are delightful to be around and it is amazing how much I love them.

I read not long ago about a person who put their baby in a microwave and turned it on. The child died a gruesome death. I also read about someone who put their baby in a large frying pan and actually fried the child in hot grease. The screams were so loud that neighbors reported it and the police arrested the depraved individual. The child survived but was permanently scarred for life. Hardly a day goes by whereby another child is snatched by a pedophile, brutally sexually abused, tortured and killed. How can anyone treat innocent little loving children in such a manner?

They are under the influence of satan. Many people with whom I talk do not seem to understand just how evil and powerful satan and his demonic minions are. It is because they have not read or studied or believed the Bible. We need to understand satan for what he is, because that is with whom we do battle every day. Satan is not some cool looking individual who is slightly red with a forked tail and horns wearing a black cape, a wry smile and Clark Gable mustache on his face, with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other as depicted by many. He is the diametric opposite of God and is evil throughout. He is powerful. Deaths, destruction, tragedy, sickness, divorce, sadness, cruel, depraved, darkness, all are descriptors that can be used synonymously with him.

What we see today with the sadism, wars, brutality, chaos, cruelty, and mayhem throughout the world are but a sampling of his work and of what is to come. The Bible tells us as we enter those “Last Days” that mankind will begin to lose its natural affection. People will turn away from God and cling to strange doctrines. Things will progressively turn more that way right up until God removes all Christians from the world and all Hell will be unleashed upon those poor souls who remain. Looking at the headlines tells me that we are rapidly moving in that direction now.

I am concerned for my sweet little granddaughters, but I know that their parents will bring them up in a Godly home and teach them about Jesus Christ. Once they become old enough it is my hope and prayer that they will accept Christ as their Savior and from that moment on throughout eternity they will be protected from satan and all of his hatred for mankind and evil ways. The Bible tells us that if we bring up a child in the ways of the Lord, that when they grow old they will not depart from it. I trust the Bible as being true and believe the Bible in its entirety and that it is the unerring word of God almighty. Treat your children well Tell them about Jesus as soon as they are old enough to understand. Start them in Bible study when they are young Pray with them, read them Bible stories at night. Take it from me they will be grown before you know it

Were your kids/grandkids in Sunday school and church last Sunday? They will not learn about God and His plan for their redemption sitting around the house watching cartoons or watching you recover from a hangover Satan wants their souls; don’t let him succeed in his quest.
