Peace on earth? Goodwill to man???

Did Jesus come to earth to give peace? Most people would say yes; we have all seen ‘Peace on earth and goodwill to man’ on Christmas cards, but Jesus said otherwise. He stated that He came to bring division’. He went on to say that even people within the same household would be divided on His behalf, father against son, brother against brother, mother against daughter. Some will accept Him and some will not. He also stated, “I came to send fire on the earth and how I wish it were already kindled”.

No, the first time Jesus came to earth it was not to bring peace; peace will not come until Jesus returns. That is the object of His next’ mission to planet earth; His previous mission was to prepare a way for those who choose to follow Him to enter into His holy presence once again, (His death on the cross in exchange for our sins). This will serve to separate those of us who choose to follow Him from those who do not.

Division is rampant and the fire has been kindled. Anyone who does not believe need only listen to those radical Muslims spouting their hatred for Christians and Jews every night on the evening news, or see what goes on in Hollywood and other dens of iniquity. Which side of the divide are you on? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? If you have not accepted Jesus as your Savior you will be separated by Jesus upon His return and the Bible describes your fate as being thrown into a fire. If you have accepted Him you will join Him and the others who made the same decision forever in paradise. The time is drawing nigh for the return of Jesus. Make your decision soon
