Many thanks to Ken Ross for laboring many many – many long hours including over his Christmas/New Years holiday vacation to program and put together the Words for the Day website, www.WordsForTheDay.com (or.org). Thanks to Michael Williamson for assisting Ken. This site houses all WFTD past and present (that we can find). You can browse through them and hopefully enjoy some insight on spiritual matters. It should provide a better mailing system as well. The site is improving daily. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I hope you will go to it and spend some time there.
I apologize for the delay in sending out WFTD. I have had a painful medical situation and have really not felt up to it. I’m slowly getting better each day and hopefully within a week or two I will be back full strength again. I look forward to the day that the Lord gives us our new glorified bodies and all our aches and pains will be a thing of the past.
Many people that I know are what I call “short-term” thinkers in that they remain in the “here and now”. I dwell in the present but look to the future with great anticipation. When I say future I’m not just talking about a month or a year or ten years from now, I’m talking about ten thousand years. Obviously I look beyond flesh and blood and look forward to the days when we will join our Lord and Savior in heaven.
I LOVE to think about heaven and do so often. I try to envision what it will be like. I realize that it far surpasses what I envision, for the Bible states that our eyes have not seen nor have our ears ever heard what lies in store for us. It is exciting to think about experiencing the beauty of the sights, sounds, and aromas and perhaps other senses we will be endowed with when we receive our new glorified bodies.
I can only imagine what it will be like to actually be in God’s holy presence and to be treated as His son. I wonder how tall He is and what color His eyes are, and how loud His voice is. I look forward to learning from God and understanding things that are currently mysteries. I wonder if we will be given a greater capacity for learning and understanding.
How about you? Have you ever wondered where you will be in ten thousand years? Will you be singing in God’s heavenly choir joined by millions of angels? Start your year out with Jesus as your number one goal and priority and you will see heaven in due time.
