Lighten up

I have all but stopped watching the news. I cannot stand the negativism. If anyone really wants to make a fortune they could begin a news organization that just reported positive things happening in the world. I sincerely believe millions of viewers just like me would tune in every day. It seems the mission of every news organization is to report the absolute worst news that can be dug up. If they cannot find enough bad to say about things they just make it up. No wonder so many people in the country are depressed. I wonder if the thinking at these organizations is that people actually want to hear the absolute worst that is happening worldwide constantly…



I have long expressed my belief that great things cannot be accomplished without healthy attitudes. It is very difficult to maintain a healthy attitude when one is bombarded with bad news 24 hours per day. I hate to isolate myself, but then again I do not want to hear it. We have plenty for which to be thankful and believe it or not good things happen in this country and around the world every minute of every day. I ordinarily just tune out during the elections, but it looks like I will be tuning out and avoiding the news all of the time until someone wises up and realizes that people do not want to be dragged down every second of every day.



Look for the best and you will find it. Look for the worst and you will find it. God did not design us for this…
