Every loving parent wants the best for their kids. The last thing they would ever want to see is for one of their children to end up in Hell eternally separated from our loving Lord. If you love your children and want the best for them not just in this world but for all of eternity, you should know that the earlier your child is taught about Jesus Christ the better. Statistics prove that the older we become the more difficult it is to become a Christian. Why? There are a variety of reasons. Some people have bad things happen to them that will embitter them towards God. Some are so successful that their success interferes and they refuse to make time for God. Some succumb to the allure of sinful lusts and desires, there is peer pressure, there is pride to a fault, and pseudo intellectual consternation and confusion, and on and on.

Innocent children who have not been exposed to the foregoing are more receptive to the teachings of the Bible. Our tiny little church just conducted vacation Bible school and 100 kids attended. Thirty children accepted Jesus as their Savior. Fifty had already done so. That is the kind of peer pressure they need. Soon enough their friends will be trying to get them to try some beer, marijuana or sex. Hopefully the education that they are receiving at First Baptist Church Key Largo will prepare them to withstand the temptations.

Enroll your kids in vacation Bible school. Enroll them in Sunday school. Teach them some Bible stories and how to pray. Most of all let them see you acting like a Christian especially on Sunday morning when you should be getting up in a good mood preparing to go to church to worship, not slogging around with a hangover looking for aspirin after sleeping until noon. The Bible promises that if we will bring our children up in the Lord they will not depart from it when they grow old.
There is neither greater responsibility that a parent has nor greater accomplishment one can have than rearing children who later become solid Christians with a deep love for Jesus.

Jesus loves children. He rebuked His disciples from preventing a child to come to Him. I can assure you that as a loving father I would have put the hurt on anyone who was trying to lead one of my children astray.
Our heavenly Father is even more adamant about this subject. He warned of dire consequence of leading a child astray. We have been duly warned as to how we should raise our children.

Matt. 18:3

I assure you, unless you turn from your sins and become as little children,

you will never get into the Kingdom of heaven. Therefore anyone who becomes

as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.
And anyone who

welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. But if anyone

causes one of these little ones who trusts in me to lose faith, it would be better for

that person to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around their neck.
