The Bible is a tremendous asset to parents who love their children and whose desire is to bring up their kids in such a way that they will grow up to be successful. My goal for my children was for them to far exceed me in everything I have accomplished and for them to know peace and be happy. I was never a perfect parent, but I am very glad that I exposed them to Biblical teachings and I hope they will do likewise with their own children.

I believe one of the most dangerous things facing kids, (and parents alike), are friends. We should choose our friends wisely as their influence can lead us down dark paths or upward towards the warm light of the Lord. If you do not know who your children’s friends are then I advise you to find out. As a parent you not only have a right but I sincerely believe you have an OBLIGATION to advise your children about such matters. Children do not like to be told what to do. They do not like unsolicited advice from parents about anything, especially their friends. So what! They are the children and you are the parents and God instructs us in no uncertain terms to maintain that order…

Proverbs 12:26

The righteous should choose

his friends carefully.

For the way of the wicked leads

them astray.
