To vote or not vote, that is indeed the question…

Someone asked the other day if it was Biblical to vote. I have never seen scripture that indicates it, but I have never seen scripture that tells us otherwise. Common sense tells us that we should vote for candidates who have Christian values. We have a clear choice between George Bush and John Kerry. George Bush has pro-Christian values and Kerry obviously does not. The choice is clear.

I believe that as Christians we must do everything within our power to spread the good news about Jesus Christ and fight the dark sin that threatens our society. Common sense and logic will tell you that electing “born-again” Christians who believe that nations will be punished for condoning and living in sin, and blessed for acknowledging that almighty God’s laws are supreme and must be obeyed, is central to achieving that goal.

We need for our leaders to stand up for family values as defined by the Bible, not the liberal elite. Marriage should be between a man and woman in the manner prescribed by our Lord. Partial birth abortion is cruel, barbaric and is murder of an innocent baby, plain and simple, and should be classified as such by our legal system. Pornography should not be allowed to be freely accessed by our children and undermine our society’s values under the protection of “free speech”. Condoms should not be given away in schools while prayer is banned. The Ten Commandments should hang in EVERY government office and it should be taught in schools and elsewhere that our nation was founded one nation “UNDER GOD” and that is the reason the United States has been mightily blessed. We are one nation under God and no judge should be capable of banning our children from saying it when pledging their allegiance to our flag.

If you are a Christian and interested in preserving our Christian heritage in this country you “better” get out there and vote. And even take it one step further and get to work to convince others to do likewise. The Anti-Christ movement is well underway in this country and throughout the world. Our children deserve better. We are obligated as Christians to get off our duffs and fight for our beliefs. Paul and others were thrown into prison for their Christian beliefs. Many were beaten, stoned, and even crucified themselves dying horrible deaths for standing up for Jesus Christ and speaking out against sin. Here in the U.S.A. we at the very least should vote for candidates who are Christians and have the courage, like George W. Bush, to stand proudly and tell the entire world that Jesus Christ is his Supreme Commander.

Someone told me the other day that their salvation and relationship with Christ was a “private” matter. Huh? What Bible are they reading to derive that? We are to let our light shine to illuminate the way for those who are mired in darkness. The Bible tells us that we should confess with our MOUTH as well as believe with our heart that Jesus is Lord. Ours is not a private gift for own salvation. We have been instructed to spread the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
It is kind of difficult to do that if we keep our faith a “private”
matter…We should all be like George W. Bush, proudly telling the world that we “born again Christian” and that without Jesus Christ we could do nothing. He is willing to subject himself to the ridicule of the press, Godless world leaders, and Hollywood’s perverted slime balls, and indeed if necessary lose the election in order to stand up for his beliefs.
Ask yourself if it is necessary to vote for someone like this, or stand passively by while someone like “flip flop” Kerry is voted in. Vote for Bush!

Romans 10:8

But what does it say? “The word

is near you, in your mouth and in

your heart” (that is the word of faith

which we preach);

that if you confess with your

mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in

your heart that God has raised Him

from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes

unto righteousness and with the

mouth confession is made unto

salvation.

How well do you know the Bible?

The knowledge of sin came to us through _________________?

Romans 3:20
