Have you ever done something for someone such as give them something valuable and then have them not even thank you for it. I have and take it from me it is not pleasant, especially if you really sacrificed to give it to them. Imagine for a moment if you gave up your most valuable possession, your child’s life in order that another might live. Most of us cannot even imagine giving up our children for someone else, but if we did we would expect that the recipient of our generosity would be grateful beyond measure.

God gave His Son up in order that we might live yet many are not thankful and indeed some at the first sign of trouble in their lives question whether he is a loving God. I can only imagine how this makes God feel. I’m glad that I am not in His position because humanity would suffer as a result of its attitude. Fortunately God is “longsuffering”
and compassionate beyond our comprehension. Thank God today for His sacrificial gift to us, and then thank Him again tomorrow and the next day throughout your life. God deserves our eternal thankfulness for what He did for us. And lest you think that you can get away with it forever, remember the Bible does state that God is longsuffering and does not desire that any of us should perish, it does tell us however, that God’s patience will one day run out and there will come a day of reckoning for those who procrastinated too long…

Psalms 35:22

The Lord redeems the soul of

His servants,

And none of those who trust in

Him shall be condemned.

How well do you know the Bible?

The Bible teaches that we do not know how to pray for some things and that prayers are said for us by someone who does. W
