Fear

Fear can be a life altering problem. Some people allow fear of the unknown to dictate their lives. God designed things whereby we do not know what is around the corner for our lives. I think He did this so we would rely on Him, who does know what is around the corner, to lead us to safety. God gave us everything we need to survive in this world. When we combine our God given attributes with faith in Him, we have nothing to fear but fear itself, as Winston Churchill rightfully said.

Being an entrepreneur at heart and later in my life attaining a deep faith in our Lord, I have not personally had to endure unreasonable fear about much. When things looked as if they might get hairy for my wife and I, be it our financial situation or otherwise, I would always tell her, Dont worry, something will turn up, and it always has. God has always taken good care of us and I know that He will never change. I have long preached that one should spend their time working on solutions to problems and/or praying about them rather than wasting that time on fear and worry which does absolutely nothing to resolve the problems at hand.

If you have fears in your life today, consider that nothing is too powerful for God to overcome. He loves you enough to have sent His Son from His glorious home in heaven to die a brutal death on a cross for you and me. God is not going to ever leave us; there is no reason to fear anything. Indeed the Bible tells us that the very hairs on our heads are numbered and that we were bought at a great price. Trust in the Lord to deliver you from your fears, and go to church this Sunday!
