Satan does not wage conventional warfare against us. I personally think that many people underestimate his power. The Bible plainly states that satan has supernatural powers and has been given dominion over this world. This is difficult to understand, but we must make an attempt. I believe that people are possessed today just as they were in the days that Jesus walked the earth. Indeed several of His miracles were in healing demon possessed people. Satans power on this earth then and now is not any different. Perhaps you doubt this. Turn on MTV tonight and honestly ask yourself if any of these rock star idols look like they have just been released from Hell.

I believe that Bin Laden and others are protected by satan. Remember it took one of the most powerful of Gods angels, Michael, 21 days to fight through the demonic forces surrounding the prophet Daniel whereby he could assist him. Demonic forces are assigned by satan to frustrate the purposes of God. It is Biblical and we have no reason not to accept that it is happening today just as it was happening 2000 years ago.

We cannot fight this battle as if it were conventional. If we go it alone, we will lose. We need powerful supernatural weapons to wage war against a foe with supernatural powers himself. The Bible tells us that Gods weapons are weapons of mass destruction and they are not carnal but mighty in God. Satan knows our weaknesses and he serves them up on a silver platter for us; however God serves up the necessary willpower to resist him and his offerings. Remember the Bible states that satan stalks the earth like a roaring lion searching for those whom he can devour, but it also states that if we resist him he will flee from us. We have the Lords guarantee that no temptation will be served up that is not within our power to resist with Gods help. All things are possible through Jesus Christ!

What are these weapons of mass destruction? Jesus Christs blood sacrifice, prayer, studying the Word of God, fellowship with your Christian brothers and sisters and an obedient spirit are all that any of us need. Dont you feel the power?

2 Cor. 9:3

For though we walk in the flesh,

we do not war according to the flesh.

For the weapons of our warfare

are not carnal but mighty in God

for pulling down strongholds,

casting down arguments and

every high thing that exalts itself

against the knowledge of God,

bringing every thought into captivity

to the obedience of Christ,

and being ready to punish all

disobedience when your obedience

is fulfilled.

How well do you know the Bible?

The Bible tells us that we can avoid fulfilling the lust of the flesh if we will ______________?

Gal. 5:16
