The Bible is explicit in telling us that we have a choice. We are faced with opposing forces warring inside our very being, but the choice of which path to follow is ours. We can get drunk on Saturday night and nurse a hangover as we “bite that dog back” drinking beer Sunday afternoonwatching NFL football. Or we can behave on Saturday night and go to church Sunday and feel great as we watch football. We have all kinds of choices daily. If we make poor choices, we cannot enjoy the”fruit of the Spirit” which is described below. Instead we will be mired in misery and unhappiness, restless as the turbulent oceanon a nasty day.
I trust in the Word of God very much. I believe the passages below adequately and accurately describe what I am trying to relate. As a thinking person which path do you think you should take? It is choice that determines your quality of life. Please do not just scan this passage. Carefully read it and decide where you want to be in your life. Actually the choice is entirely up to you, the Bible is quite clear on that point. Why not try a little harder to follow God’s path? The rewards are great and all it takes is to make the right choices more often than not…

Gal. 5:17…
For the flesh lusts against the
Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh…
Now the works of the flesh are
evident, which are: adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions,
jealousies, outbursts of wrath,
selfish ambitions, dissensions,
heresies, envy,murders, drunkenness,
revelries, and the like…
But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self control…
If we live in the Spirit, let us also
walk in the Spirit.

How well do you know the Bible?
What did Jesus say was the greatest commandment? How about the second greatest commandment?
