I heard it said the other day that those who need help the most, seem torefuse it the most. My brother fell into that category. He just would not let anyonehelp him deal with his problems. He would not listen to reason and definitely had no interest in logical solutions to his problems. He went to his grave having never obtained the help that he desperatelyneeded. I often felt personally responsible for my inadequacies in dealing with my brother. He rebuffed my efforts to reason with him and often it would just make him mad at me and me mad at him whenever I tried to help him. If someone does not allow us to help them, how can we help them?

Do you know someone who needs help? Perhaps someone with a drug or alcohol problem? Have you tried to help them. It is exceedingly difficult if not impossible for you to help them…alone.. My suggestion is simple yet powerful, go to God in prayer. The problem is bigger than us, but no problem is too great for God.In war we need an arsenal superior to our foes. Satan has an arsenal that can and will defeat us without God’s mysterious spiritual help; the Bible explicitly tells us this truth. If you have tried prayer as I did with my brother, yet still cannotsee results, pray harder. My biggest regret in trying to provide help to my brother was that I spent too much time trying to use human logic to reason with him and not enough time on my knees asking God to help him.I’m convinced that no amount of human logic will help some people, and that if they are to be saved from their misery, it can only come from God.
