The two scumbag murdererous cowardly snipers have been caught. What a relief. Several days ago I wrote a piece about vengeance and how we should try to look at it. One of our readers responded with the following and I thought it was terrific.
“A shepherd will not turn the other cheek on a wolf who has taken from his flock. If he does, the wolf will most certainly return to do more harm.
A vengeful act of destroying the wolf will not bring peace, but there is peace in knowing that the wolf is gone and the sheep are safe.
It’s the motivation, not the action that makes it a sin.”
The verse that I quoted the other day stated that God is ANGRY with the wicked EVERY day. The big debate with the talking heads on the media will now turn to how to punish these “wolves”. Death or life without parole, what is it going to be? I cannot help but think about the Bible referring to our lives as being nothing more than a fleeting shadow or to a vapor, here for but a moment and then gone. The real problem these guys will have will be when that shadow passes and the vapor of their lives is gone and then they face an almighty God who is ANGRY EVERY DAY with the wicked. Don’t get worked into a lather about it, though their days may be prolonged, one day they will run out and a just God will exact the appropriate punishment…
