There is nothing that I hate more than for someone to lie to me. I have a gift/curse of being able to remember verbatim conversations that occurred months and even many years ago. When someone tells me one thing on one occasion and then something else on another, I immediately catch the variation, often to my dismay as I realize that I have just been lied to. The problem with lying is once someone catches someone in a lie they can not ever really trust that person again. If I cannot trust someone, I do not want to have anything to do with them.

The Bible has much to say about lying. Indeed satan told the first lie to Eve to initially deceive her. He is the father of all lies and lying along with the sin of foolish pride brought down the entire human race.
Don’t let lying ruin your life. People have been fired for lying, or not hired because of lying on their application, friendships have ended because of it, as have marriages, fights and even wars have started over it and the list goes on. Lying is satanic and it yields satanic results. The Bible teaches that a lie will not go unpunished. Our lives can literally be ruined because of a lie. Better to tell the truth, throw ourselves on the mercy of the court, and take our medicine, than try to lie our way out of a situation.
