Common thought process?

I received this from a reader:
“I watched a television show last night and there was a special on about the different religions of the world. Unfortunately, there were a lot of people who believe that religion is just an avenue to God, and most all major religions lead to the same God. I believe this is a common misunderstanding throughout America, and I was wondering if you could address this issue in WFTD sometime?”

The Bible is very clear on this subject; it says that there is only ONE way to reach God and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. We all have a decision to make. Either Jesus Christ is who He said He was, or He is a liar. There is no in between. Unfortunately this is the downfall of many people. In their earthly logic they cannot imagine that God would exclude all of the people in the world who reject the notion that we must go through Jesus to obtain salvation. Many believe that they are good people and God would not harm them in any way. The Bible, however, states that ALL of us are as “filthy rags” in His holy presence. It goes on to state that not one person is justified on their own merits and that all of us need God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ’s blood sacrifice as payment for our sinful lives in order to be reconciled to God.

I do not see how someone could believe part of the Bible, but not the rest. My logic tells me that a God who is powerful enough to create everything we know, would surely ensure that His Holy Word would not be written down wrong. Jesus Himself stated that no man can access the Father except through Him. Now He is either a liar or He is telling the truth. If He is indeed telling the truth, any “religion” that does not teach this does not lead to reconcilement with God. If He is a liar, then I suppose everyone will be saved, because virtually everyone probably thinks they deserve it.

Anyone who has seriously studied the Bible realizes that it would have been impossible for Jesus to fulfill all of the prophecies that He fulfilled and perform all of the miracles that He performed and not be who He said He was. Jesus is who He said He was and every word in the Bible is truth. Everyone can be saved by simply accepting this premise and turning their life over to Him. Anyone who does not will be lost.
The Bible clearly states that the road is broad that leads to Hell and many will take its easy course. Obviously many have been deceived by satan and many more will be deceived by him. Hell will be full. The
Bible states that the path to righteousness is narrow. This is
because we must go through Jesus Christ to get there. There is no other way! Don’t bet eternity on the Bible being wrong. Listen to Jesus:
