Often when we are faced with trials in our lives the tendency is to strike out at others. Trials are allowed by God for a purpose. We must keep this at the top of our mind while enduring trials and tribulation.
Trials build patience and endurance and with that character. Don’t fall to pieces at the very first sign of trouble, nor when deeply mired in it. Grin and bear it, all the while praising God for the blessings that we do have. We all are going to face trials. Indeed some are as dark as midnight on a moonless night. Just remember that the sun is shining brightly on the other side and the earth is slowly turning and soon its warmth and brightness will once again flood your life and remove the darkness for yet a while longer. We are not ever facing trials alone, God is right there with us every step of the way. He still loves us just as much as ever. Don’t strike out at Him or anyone because life seems suddenly “unfair”. Trials are sent our way for a purpose. Endure it with a smile if you can, but don’t strike out at God or others.

Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
according to His abundant mercy
has begotten us again to a living
hope through the resurrection of
Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance incorruptible
and undefiled and that does not fade
away, reserved in heaven for you,
who are kept by the power of
God through faith for salvation
ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you greatly rejoice
though now for a little while, if
need be, you have been grieved by
various trials,
that the genuineness of your
faith, being much more precious
than gold that perishes, though
it is tested by fire, may be found
to praise, honor, and glory at the
revelation of Jesus Christ,
whom having not seen, you
love.
