I had a dream last night that seemed incredibly real. I dreamed about a goose hunt I went on in Arkansas years ago. We had spotted some geese and decided that I would wait behind a levee out of sight, and Robbie and Michael would circle around on the other side of the field and we would have them in a crossfire. The sun was hot and I was laying on the grass with my trusty Labrador Retriever, Bear, waiting for the boys to circle around and get the geese moving. I had slung my arm over my old dog and as we laid there with the sun beaming down on us, it was all that either of us could do to hold our eyes open. Suddenly I opened my eyes and much to my surprise I saw my wife laying there, not my trusty Lab Bear. I had slung my arm around my wife, not my Lab. it was only a dream.
Things in life are often not as they seem. Satan was the original deceiver. He and 1/3 of the angels of heaven who were deceived by him were cast down to earth because of his deception. Indeed the entire human race has suffered because of it and continue to do so to this very day. I was in Los Angeles yesterday and I do not believe that there is anywhere on earth where people are more deceived than in Hollywood. The flash, the cash, the beautiful people, the adulation, the lure of it all, is for many, just too hard to resist. That is until they actually get into it only to find that the deception of Hollywood and its lifestyle behind the glitter is filled with divorce, drugs, misery, perversion, heartache and suicide.
Do not be deceived by satan, the best things in life are love of God and family, (and laying in the grass with a good companion waiting for some geese to fly over). Jesus is the answer.

Rev.12:9
So the great dragon was cast
out, that serpent of old, called the
devil and satan, who deceives the
whole world; he was cast to the
earth, and his angels were cast out
with him.
Then I heard a loud voice saying
in heaven, “Now salvation and
strength, and the kingdom of our
God, and the power of His Christ
have come, for the accuser of our
brethren, who accused them before
our God day and night, has been cast
down.
And they overcame him by the
blood of the Lamb and by the word
of their testimony, and they did not
love their lives to the death.
