Occasionally someone who is a Christian will slip away from going to church and leading the spirit filled life and perhaps fall into a sin-filled life. What would happen to that person if they were to get drunk one night, crash their car and die during this back-sliding period? The Bible is very clear that if they were ever once truly saved, they would join our Father in heaven for eternity. Think of it like this, no matter what happens, I will always be the father of my children. We may avoid each other for one reason or other, but nothing can change the fact that they are my children and I am their father. It is the same with Jesus. Once you are born into the family of God, it is forever.

The price we pay for disobeying God after we become Christians, occurs in this world. It can be relatively minor whereby we cannot find happiness and satisfaction, but it can also lead to physical death, such as hopping behind the wheel while drunk. The Bible clearly warns us of what can happen as a result of living sin-filled lives. It falls short of telling us that we will be eternally separated from God. Those who are separated from God cannot experience true joy in their lives. God’s love for us never ceases, but He cannot tolerate sin. The good news is once we are truly saved, it is forever. It is unfortunate that even though we are Christians that we cannot lead perfect sin-free lives.
That will change when we pass from this life to the next. Sin, sickness and death will be no more. There will be no wars, fighting, jealousy, injustice, sadness and tears. Just love, joy and peace forever! Sound good? You can have it all, just give up the old and take on the new.
Trust in Jesus Christ today.

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no
condemnation to those who are
in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life
in Christ Jesus has made me free
from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do
in that it was weak through the flesh,
God did by sending His own Son
in the likeness of sinful flesh, on
account of sin; He condemned sin in
the flesh,
that the righteous requirement of
the law might be fulfilled in us who
do not walk according to the flesh
but according to the Spirit.
8:38
For I am persuaded that neither
death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
