I have promoted many people to management positions and I always cringe a little until I see how they are going to react to their new found authority over others. It seems to turn some folks into whip popping tyrant maniacs overnight. One key to success and essential ingredient of obtaining success in management is to be fair and to try to remain patient in spite of human error that creates adverse situations. It is not easy. Abraham Lincoln once said :”Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power”.
Being kind to people and helping them to work through their mistakes is something that we all need to work on, but particularly those of us who are in managerial positions.

Ephesians 4:32
And be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God in Christ
forgave you.
