Attitude

Attitude is so important in life. At our company, as with most companies, it is the first thing that we evaluate during a review.
Through the years I have come to believe that it is the single most important ingredient for success. Yes it is more important than education, I.Q., and even luck. When you have a great attitude you can and will succeed. Entire books are written on this important subject.
If you cannot maintain a positive attitude, I suggest that you get one.
Zig Ziglar has written some excellent books on this subject.

It is my belief that the root of every bad attitude is an unhappy heart.
It is hard to maintain a healthy positive attitude when one is unhappy.
Why are most people unhappy? It is my belief that aside from sickness or personal tragedy, it occurs most often when we fail to recognize the blessings that we have and concentrate on the things that we do not have. (Oddly enough if it is material things that are desired, the way to obtain them is through maintaining a positive attitude and combining it with a strong work ethic.) If you think that you have it rough, compare yourself to the rest of the world. Over 1/3 of the population of the world has never even used a telephone, starvation and hunger is prevalent in many areas, disease, abject poverty, war and bloodshed….
Think about it. God has placed you in this civilization, not Uganda, North Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, or the Gaza Strip. We have it made. No civilization in the history of mankind as we know it, has as much or has been so greatly blessed by God. It kind of makes one wonder why so many people in this wonderful country ignore Him and are mad and unhappy all of the time.

We should start each day by counting our blessings… yes, name them one by one. We should thank almighty God for what he has done. Put a smile on that face. We are alive and well in the greatest country in the world.
