Well the election is finally over. Hallelujah! I am happy to see a man elected who stated during the campaign that he admires Jesus Christ more than anyone else who has ever lived on this earth. It will be a refreshing change after eight years of Bill Clinton. Hopefully the immorality and lying that went with Clinton will be replaced by integrity and morality. I hope that President elect Bush will deliver on his promise to end partial birth abortions. I hope he will appoint decent, Christ-loving people to the judicial system as judges. I hope that the sharp divisions in the country that were initially formed during Clinton’s impeachment and that reappeared during this bitter election will disappear.
The United States needs a spiritual awakening. I read in the paper yesterday where a principal in Cobb county Ga. sent out a directive to all teachers in her school advising them that they were forbidden to refer to the word Christmas on school property. She considered it to be possibly “offensive” to their diverse student population. Thank God that she was overruled by the superintendent, but what does that tell you about the mindset of the people of this age. People are too afraid to even mention the word Christmas. The ACLU and the liberal faction in our court system are the tools that satan has used to win the legal battles that contributed mightily to this mindset. It is coupled and assisted by the liberal media and Hollywood. They advertise, market, and promote a satanic agenda.
Bush will need plenty of help and we can all assist him through prayer.
I’m sure there is no happiness in Hell over this election and satan will be doing everything in his power to prevent our new president from succeeding in reforming anything of moral value. God answers prayer, so let’s put Bush on the list and pray for him and all government leaders often. Pray that the leaders of our country humble themselves and lead in humility, and not in arrogant pride. Pray that they put God first on their agenda and that they lead this country and deal with members of opposing views with compassion as He would want them to. Pray they do not gloat over their narrow victory and that instead they will use the same energy to bring us all together again, “one nation, under God, indivisible”.
