Truth Squad (repost)

I watched the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates and was absolutely disgusted to see that they lie so much during the debates that the networks have established an online “Truth Squad” that one can access via the internet “real time” during the debate to see whether or not what the candidate just said is the truth or not. They run a banner along the bottom of the television screen indicating how to access it.
What a commentary upon our great country. This reminds me of some of the ridiculous lies that used to be issued by communist countries via their propaganda machines. Man if their populations would have only had a truth squad. I can understand how a Godless communist could stare into a camera and tell a deliberate lie, but I cannot understand how someone who professes to be a Christian can do it.

Governor Bush has had a similar online truth service available for some time on his web site to deal with the many distortions and misinformation being permeated about him and his programs. It is unbelievable that they can lie with such ease, particularly Gore. We are talking about people who are running for the highest office in the land. They look millions of people right in the eye and deliberately tell a lie. I personally do not know anyone that will lie like that.
(Probably because I cannot tolerate a liar and wouldn’t hang around one for five minutes, once I discovered it).

It is very discouraging to see this kind of behavior. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why so many people are so turned off by
politics that they have quit voting altogether. Although I am
thoroughly disgusted and share those sentiments to a certain extent, refusing to vote will just make the situation worse. I believe we must take a stand against lying, immoral and dishonest politicians, and the only way most of us can do so is to vote. Sometimes it comes down to voting for the lesser of two evils. SO BE IT, at least that is a start.
You would not knowingly hire a liar for your business, especially the CEO, nor would I. We, the voters, are hiring a CEO for our entire country. Isn’t it amazing that we need the “truth squad” to help us make our choice. I for one will be e-mailing the candidates to express my outrage at being lied to about anything, and will encourage them to tell the truth. I will tell them I will be voting for the more honest of the two.

I do not know why they cannot just tell the truth and let the voters decide based upon the facts. I take that back, I do know why, and it is because of the influence of Satan, the original liar and his demonic hordes. It is because people in general do not hold integrity and character in very high esteem anymore. Most seem quite willing to put up with it, as long as the good old lifestyle is clicking right along.
(Clinton demonstrated that fact).

I have accessed the information and will vote for the more honest of the two candidates. That will be Bush.
