Many folks have the wrong idea about Christians. That is because Christians are human beings and are full of faults and because of this Christians sometimes do not always act like Christians. Some folks are turned off by what they perceive as hypocritical behavior of so-called Christians. While indeed I’m sure that there are legitimate “dyed -in-the-wool” hypocrites in the Christian ranks, most are just weak and will make mistakes like every other human being on this planet now and then. By the way I can think of no better place for a hypocrite to be than in Church. (When someone is sick they need to visit the Doctor’s office). True Christians, above all others, realize that they are sinners and need forgiveness and a savior in Jesus Christ. There are those who claim to be Christians and really are not and they give all Christians a bad rap through their behavior. Again I say that I hope they fill up the pews, hopefully they will learn something. I received the following from a friend and it seems to put into perspective what we are trying to say when we say, We say we are Christians..
When I Say “I Am A Christian”
When I say…….”I am a Christian,”
I’m not shouting “I am saved.”
I’m whispering “I get lost!”
“That is why I chose this way.”
When I say…..”I am a Christian,”
I don’t speak of this with pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.
When I say…..”I am a Christian,”
I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that I’m weak
and pray for strength to carry on.
When I say “I am a Christian,”
I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.
When I say “I am a Christian,”
I’m not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are too visible,
but God believes I’m worth it.
When I say….”I am a Christian,”
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I’m loved.

Phil 4:5…
Let your gentleness be known to
all men, The Lord is at hand.
Be anxious for nothing, but in
everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving, let your
requests be known to God.
Phil 4:13
I can do all things through
Christ who strengthens me
