Is anything too hard?

Yesterday we had a great time worshipping the Lord at Honey Lake Church and it was an absolute joy to be in that setting. The church was completely full with few if any open seats, the praise and worship music was incredible, the message of God’s amazing grace, love and mercy was well received and the covered dish meal afterwards was enjoyed by all (but me, I had to drive to Jacksonville for a meeting with some key people concerning the Jesus Alliance).

The people with whom I met were not just your run of the mill, ordinary folks, they were extraordinary! They are people who are literally intent on changing the world for the better. One is a modern day abolitionist who is working towards ending slavery (which is increasing all over the world) and he is using his vast skills as an investment banker, venture capitalist, and University professor to take his Not for Sale global ministry literally all over the world.

The meeting was also attended by one of the foremost musicians in the world and his wife and they are using his fame, fortune, and enormous skills to debunk the notion that creationism is a myth by producing world class videos featuring noted scientist Hugh Ross.

The final participant was a movie producer buddy of mine who is using his considerable set of skills making movies and television documentaries to develop incredible Christian movies and documentaries to advance the kingdom.

After dinner as we exited the restaurant we were laughing about how fascinating our conversation had been with never a dull moment and definitely not even one moment of the sometimes awkward silence in conversations of folks who have just met. It reminded me of a bunch of excited canaries all enthusiastically chattering away and sharing the amazing things God was doing in our lives. We all love the Lord with all of our hearts and have been enormously gifted by the Lord in various ways, and we are all using those gifts to do something very exhilarating and monumental about it.

The only question in my mind is how our disparate ministries will merge together. I don’t believe in chance encounters. I think ours was a divine appointment and God has a specific reason for bringing us all together. So now comes the detective work to see how we can unite and use our combined energy to glorify the name of God. Today we have a follow up meeting and I’m sure Jesus will begin to unravel the mystery for us. Please pray for that meeting.

I tell you it is EXCITING to be working fulltime for the Lord. He is the ultimate CEO and has more resources at his disposal than we can ever imagine. It is simply astonishing sometimes to see the marvelous talented people he has enlisted all over the world to advance His kingdom.

Naysayers abound and scoff at the notion that the Jesus Alliance will send out one billion positive pro-God messages a month through all forms of media and communication to counter the anti-God messages the public is receiving through those same channels daily. Undoubtedly they have not looked to the heavens lately and seen God’s creation. Is there anything too difficult for God?

Many of my friends have expressed to me that we are living in days similar to those of Noah. That is just not true. Noah preached for 120 years without a single convert, but today hundreds of millions are receiving Christ all over the world in spite of the evil that is engulfing us, and this is just the start of a Great Awakening and revival of startling proportion. God is moving in a mighty way all over the world.

The Bible assures us that it is God’s desire that no one should perish. Every person on the face of the earth will be proffered an opportunity to choose or reject Jesus Christ as their Savior before the end comes. I hope that 2016 will prove to be the year that YOU make your move to work for His kingdom. It is more fun than riding a roller coaster and getting better each day. Think about how dull it is to sit on the couch, worship that one-eyed God TV, eat that bag of chips and slurp down that soda versus the excitement of seeing souls that were affected by you being rescued from an eternity of separation from God and all that is good . . . Selah . . .
