I hope that sometime in each of your lives you will experience how God can quickly bring about change. It is almost frightening to see how fast things can happen when the Holy Spirit goes on the move. I have surmised that feeling is derived from a reluctance to relinquish control and just get out of the way and allow God to take over. It is a feeling of panic in not being to control the situation and it gives some personal trepidation until we remember just who is in charge. I like God being in charge a lot better than trying to force things to happen myself.

I’ve been on a miraculous trip which began in Colorado, then to Hollywood, to Orlando, to Washington D.C. I will return to Florida to speak two days at a prison ministry event this weekend, go back to Orlando in order to meet with a gentleman from the UK before going home to pack for my next trip.

The results of this trip have been overwhelming. Yesterday I met with one of the largest newspapers in the world that desires to come together with the Jesus Alliance to find a way to work with us potentially through two series entitled “Faith Under Fire” and Restoring Faith, Freedom, and Jesus in the Public Square. Our mutual hope is to find substantive ways to fight the persecution of Christians to include genocide, human trafficking, destruction of churches, and the theft of all possessions of Christians and other religious minorities in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia and to restore religious liberty right here in the United States especially on college campuses. The potential reach of their organization alone is well over 100 million people. It is quite extraordinary that a secular newspaper would even consider mentioning the name Jesus much less develop ongoing journalistic effort to projects such as these, but with God all things are made easy.

Simultaneously “out of the blue” one of the largest Christian organizations in the world called yesterday and asked for a meeting with me and another leader in the Jesus Alliance to find a way for us to join together in our mutual desire and efforts to bring unity to the church. They have a reach equivalent to hundreds of millions of believers that when united will rock the world in sharing the Gospel, helping the poor and downtrodden.

Many other things are happening including a new video that will be ready to distribute soon and many great improvements to our website that are being implemented. These are just some highlights; more is happening but I don’t have space in a singular post to even begin to relate them all. Suffice it to say that we will soon begin realizing our dream of effecting a worldwide impact for Jesus Christ.

To those of you who have faithfully financially supported the Jesus Alliance from the beginning through the lean difficult start-up days through today and all of those who have continued to pray for God to nurture it into the ministry that He desires, I say thank you!

Faith in things yet realized and/or seen is cherished by God. As we begin to have successes all over the world in various areas we will no doubt begin to pick up supporters like an avalanche picking up new snow as it cascades down a mountain, but you early adopters can be especially proud that you were in this effort from the beginning.

As for me I’m humbled by it all. On a personal note I’m hopeful that I only have four more weeks of chemo and will be free of its debilitating side effects in order to have even more energy to fight on. (I’ll know Monday when I visit the doctor whether I have to endure 12 more weeks or if I am cured from the first 12 weeks – Please pray for it to end.)

Many have asked me why I don’t just stay at home and rest and quit driving so hard. My reply is that I cannot even think of such a course of action. Yes it is difficult, but it is my purpose and I don’t want to let God down. I pray that more of you will develop a similar passion for Jesus. He can build the Jesus Alliance without me, but I cannot begin to tell you what a privilege it is for Him to allow me to serve Him and I don’t want to miss a single moment.

He wants you to serve too and the opportunity exists for one and all.

If God says Go! Will you say NO?

I won’t! As long as I can draw a breath I’m going to serve. I’ll catch up on a few Zzzzzzzz-s when I arrive in heaven, but for now I’m joining the battle. Lost souls are ripe for the harvest, the Lord is calling for workers.

Join us!

2 Tim. 2:10

Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
