I went to 19 different schools while growing up and one thing it taught me was that there are bullies in the world. I was always the new kid on the block, often showing up in the middle of the school year and there were always those who wanted to make my life miserable for no other reason than I wasn’t one of them.
I learned early on that there was one thing that needed to be done to stop the bullies from picking on me – beat the crap out of one of them early on and thereby demonstrate that I wasn’t going to take anything off anyone! Word traveled fast and when they discovered that I not only would fight back, but I would fight with gusto, they left me in peace and moved on to easier prey.
As I ponder how the atheists with just 3 1/2% of the population effectively removed God from our country, and likewise how the tiny minority of homosexuals so effectively have promoted their agenda to the point that every conceivable form of media constantly barrages us with it, I came to understand that they learned early on that if they were to obtain their goals they had to fight for them and they had to do so with gusto.
Today I read where our Department of Homeland Security will not let churches and faith based organizations inside the refugee camps on the border to minister to the kids who have ended up jammed into deplorable camps like sardines. In fact Senator McCain is railing that even congressmen and women cannot visit them and are denied access.
What’s up with that? I thought this was America, the land of the free and home of the brave. The church has always ministered to the poor, why are we being denied access? What are they trying to hide inside those camps?
It seems to me that Christians need to stand up and fight for their rights. We face a vast array of bullies in Washington D.C. but like all bullies, when they are confronted by a determined opponent who is willing to fight them (until “the last dog dies”) they will acquiesce like the true cowards that they are.
The world can be changed, (even when it looks like it is impossible). Martin Luther King Jr. proved that with his million man march on Washington D.C. among other things.
But alas as long as we continue to take our daily beating from those who would strip us of our moral conscience, the bullies will continue to pour it on. I’m not advocating civil disobedience mind you, but we need to be heard and in large numbers. I hope by now you have signed up at www.RenewalofAmerica.org and have encouraged every person in your network to do so as well. It only takes 30 seconds. When millions of us are united, we will be heard because we will remind them that we outnumber them by such a huge margin that it is just plain crazy that we are being persecuted in the first place.
We need to understand that we cannot stop bullies unless and until we quit taking those shots to the chin. Unbelievably 70% of pastors are preaching from the pulpit that we have lost the cultural war. Those guys need to grow themselves some courage and preach the Gospel and tell their congregations that we serve a mighty God who parted the Red Sea like it was nothing. We haven’t lost anything more than the will to fight back.
A long time prisoner told me one time that he always advised new inmates upon their arrival that they would be tested in short order and that they were going to HAVE TO FIGHT. Otherwise they would end up being someone’s “mama” and be forced to wear pink hot pants and be ravaged by bullies every day of his life.
That does not sound too appealing to me. In fact I’d rather fight to the death than to don pink hot pants and endure a daily dose of bullying.
I feel the same about those who would strip me of my religious freedom and coerce me to do things contrary to my moral conscience such as pay my tax dollars to take the life of an innocent baby via abortion. It is time for Americans to take back our nation and restore it to one nation under God. In order to succeed not one bullet need be fired, we just need to show up in large numbers and be louder than our opponents.
Wake up America!
Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
