Yesterday I received several incoming rounds of hate mail for daring to speak out against demonic strongholds in San Francisco and Las Vegas, so that tells me it bears repeating.
Yesterday I wrote: “I’ve also noted this phenomenon when visiting cities that are so evil that I believe them to be nothing more than satanic strongholds and modern day Sodom and Gomorrah’s. I can feel the presence of evil as soon as I fly into one of them.
San Francisco and Las Vegas are two such cities. San Francisco is perhaps the homosexual capital of the world and its Bohemian, “anything goes”, lifestyle ignores any vestige of morality. Las Vegas is known as the city that never sleeps and proudly calls itself “Sin City” and its slogan: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”.
I also received flak for saying the following: “Geez isn’t San Francisco where Nancy Pelosi calls home, and isn’t Las Vegas the city Harry Reid calls home? The irony in that is kind of scary-weird – huh?”
I should have added that Chicago Illinois has recently been designated as the “murder capital of the United States” by the F.B.I. with its 100,000 strong gang members and that fine city is none other than President Obama’s home.
Please don’t write and tell me that satan does not have a stronghold on these cities; it defies logic . . .
So don’t you think it’s a little ironic and perhaps just a little more than coincidence that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and then Senator Obama were all elected to public office in those satanic stronghold cities, (Sodom & Gomorrah/Sin City/Murder capital)? These politician zealots have certainly advanced the antichrist agenda of those who elected them. Unfortunately it is the entire population of the United States that is affected and now suffers from their efforts, and not just their constituents.
So what is a satanic stronghold? Spiritually speaking, Paul defines strongholds as an “argument or high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God”. I was told by someone who is gay that if one wears an earring in just the right ear, it signifies that person is gay. If someone wears one in the left ear they are “straight”. He went on to tell me that the way to remember it was by remembering the phrase; “What is right is wrong”.
That phrase pretty much sums up satanic strongholds. What is right is wrong, and what is wrong is right. In defiance to God the world defines its own laws and declares its lusts and desires as being acceptable regardless of the Bible’s admonitions. This has gone on since the beginning of time; it was evident in Noah’s day, in ancient civilizations where society deemed it acceptable to sacrifice children to idols, to the people of Israel who worshipped a golden calf and engaged in an orgy while Moses was on Mt. Horeb receiving the Ten Commandments; right through today.
Homosexuality is no longer defined as an abominable sin in this country, rather a “gay lifestyle”, (that term makes it sound rather appealing and fun, wouldn’t you agree?) Abortion is not taking the life of an unborn child or murder, it’s a “woman’s right to choose”; pornography is not lust and sexual perversion; it’s “free speech”; greed becomes smart business practice and the “art of the deal”, and so forth.
A demonic stronghold is defined as anything compelling enough or convincing enough to hold you in its power; to keep you from receiving God’s love and truth. The demon who resides over our bondage is a tormentor. His goal is not to destroy the person by making him commit sin, although he may accomplish that as well. His goal is to torment his victim. He enjoys seeing people suffer. The Greek word used to describe this type of bondage is “thrauo”. It literally means “to crush”. Some versions translate it as “bruised” others render it “oppressed”.
So how are strongholds torn down? Paul advises in 2 Corinthians 10:3 – “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
In essence we cannot heal ourselves and are in need of divine healing. Demons will remain in our lives as long as we tolerate the sin. They are like rats. They feed on our sin. Remove the food source and the rats will abandon the ship.
Satan (the sin rat) wants to deceive us and cause us to believe lies and distortions regarding God, including His existence, His character, His love, His faithfulness, and His ability and willingness to help us. He harasses, torments, and crushes the person under his oppression. He crushes our self-image; he crushes our relationships; he crushes our dreams and aspirations; and he crushes our hope.
Do not be deceived by society, false teachers or those who would rob you of the peace, joy, and love that are the fruits of the Spirit of God. Remember what happened in the Garden of Eden as satan deceived Eve. There were plenty of delectable fruits in the Garden for her to eat, but satan whispered in her ear and tempted her to eat the one forbidden fruit. Just look at the damnable mess she got us all in when she didn’t resist and disobeyed God’s command. It’s a tough lesson that has been given to us and has remained since the dawn of civilization to remind us of the brutal consequence of sin.
Adam and Eve’s DNA is running through our veins and we are prone to sin because of it, but fear not. Jesus Christ overcame sin, satan, and the entire world. Keep the faith and stay strong because the Lord goes before us . . .
