My wife and I were riding our horses this weekend and we were crossing a pasture adjoining one of my neighbor’s pastures. I noticed that my horse “Dusty” started acting weird as did Teresa’s horse. Dusty began rolling his eyes around and was prancing and dancing and acting very uncomfortable. Suddenly he laid his ears straight back and bolted and took off running and Teresa’s horse did likewise.
What the uh
We quickly managed to slow them down and bring them to a stop, and when I turned Dusty back around towards my neighbor’s fence I saw the reason for the consternation. There were several donkeys in my neighbor’s pasture and the herd’s lead donkey was running down the fence line holding his head high and braying at our horses at the top of his lungs: HEE – HAW – HAW – HAW!
For whatever reason that little black donkey scared the living daylights out of Dusty and Ranger and they wanted no part of him.
I was watching the news the other night and I saw a clip of President Obama addressing a group of Latinos and he told them that they needed to vote their “ENEMIES” out of office and vote their “friends” into office. His mention of enemies was of course referring to Republicans.
Then they played a radio interview of him with Al Sharpton and he was stating his now familiar metaphor concerning removing the car from a ditch that according to him the Republicans drove it into. Obama said that he and the “middle class” were going to be riding up front in that car and that he really didn’t mind too much if Republicans came along for the ride, but that they were going to have to ride in the back.
Hmmm This reminded me of that little donkey braying at the top of his lungs and scaring anything within earshot of it out of their wits. This kind of rhetoric coming from the most powerful man in the world should scare any citizen.
This president has no class and is divisive to this country. Does he literally think that there are no middle class Republicans? Does the president of the United States consider such a large segment of this society such as the Tea Party and Republican Party or anyone who disagrees with him “enemies”?
I’m old enough to remember when African Americans had to ride in the back of the bus, use separate bathrooms and restaurants, and be second class citizens; does he want “rich” white people to go there now? Maybe he’s been listening to the Reverend Jeremiah Wright a little too much.
I don’t care what your political affiliation might be; this guy has no business being president of this great country. Our president should respect all of our citizens, whether they happen to agree with his desire and policies to borrow money from China in order to spend money we don’t have, offer free healthcare for every man woman, child, dog or donkey in the United States, or increase the size of government and turn us into a European style Socialist country.
I’ll let you in on a little secret. Dusty and Ranger don’t really have a tremendous amount of brain power, (I hope they aren’t listening). They’re much bigger and stronger than that little donkey and have no legitimate reason to fear his loud braying. Much the same we don’t have to fear Obama or his cronies, or the demise of our country because we do have some brain power and can vote that little herd of asses’ right out of office.
The Bible tells us how to deal with divisive people. Paul exhorts us to do two things concerning them: “Watch out for them!” and “Keep away from them!”
I think we should try our best not to rant, rave, or rage. Nor should we stomp on someone or fight in the streets like was done at a Rand Paul political rally last week. Simply make plans now to vote next Tuesday and call all of your friends and encourage them to do likewise And vote conservative Republican, Tea Party, or conservative Democrat.
Proverbs 15:1
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Fear not
