I’m totally happy to announce that the website for my book, “Miracle on Luckie Street” is revised and up and running, and I’m now accepting prepublication orders on the hardcover version for delivery in October. http://miracleonluckiestreet.com

Whew! It has taken some time for this day to arrive, but today is that glorious day.

I have included on the website a sneak preview of chapter one and I encourage you to please read it (and the warning), prior to purchasing the book. If you are observant you will notice that I have removed every reference to God from the website, covers, and flaps. To the casual observer the design leaves the question unanswered as to how I was able to turn my life around People will have to read the book for that.

This is deliberate strategy on my part because more than anything I want unsaved, secular people to read it. My feeling, (after extensive prayer and meditation), is that if they think it’s just some religious book, they won’t bother. If they read it and it’s hokey and not honest or legitimate, I don’t think they will continue. It is my belief that the book had to be written in such a manner that non-Christians would know that it is a true story of how bad life on the mean streets actually is which makes the miraculous turnaround not just amazing but starkly real.

They will not discover that it was Christ that performed the miracle in my life until about midway through the book, and by that time I hope they will be too engrossed in the story to stop reading. (Pretty sneaky huh?)

Everyone experiences problems in their lives and I don’t have any doubt that Christians who read this book will also find hope and be inspired. The message of the book is that through Christ’s strength we can all overcome the adversity we face in our lives (which in my case was severe).

Paramount to the success of the book for me is that anyone who is struggling in their life will read it and find peace, joy, and happiness through the Lord. If you know anyone who is struggling, please send them the link to the website or furnish them a copy.

Those who have read it have asked me if it doesn’t embarrass me for all those readers to know really bad things about me including my weaknesses and the depravity of my former life. In a word the answer is YES, but this is not a book about me. It is about God and His miraculous healing grace and power. It is about how no one, no how, no way, has problems that are too large for Him to resolve. It is how through the strength of Christ we can all take on wings like an eagle and soar above the clouds and defeat the problems inspired by the evil in this world.

The way I look at it is that my feelings are irrelevant to God’s purpose and I for one believe my prayer will be answered and that many people will come to know the Lord because of this book and many others will find hope. My personal shame is tempered by the knowledge that in spite of what some might think of me, GOD has completely forgiven me for ALL my sins and loves me more than I can imagine. Contrary to what many well-meaning people espouse, Jesus Christ is about compassion and not condemnation and I’m a prime example.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
