Native language

I don’t know about you but I am sick and tired of being lied to by politicians. It is an insult to my intelligence to hear what amounts to a steady stream of pure propaganda, similar to state run television in Communist countries like North Korea and right out of the mouth of dictators like Hugo Chavez.

Yesterday I saw a clip of VP Biden telling Larry King that he considered the progress made in Iraq to be among the most significant accomplishments of “THEIR” administration. I almost choked on the buttered pecan ice cream I was eating when I heard that one. He actually said it with a straight face. It was later reinforced by the President’s press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Partisanship aside that is nothing but a blatant lie. President Bush formed all of the strategy for the surge, (which both Biden and Obama voted against). The surge strategy is credited with finally winning the war. Likewise the Bush administration had already developed the plan for troop withdrawals and it was being followed prior to Bush ever leaving office. All they did was continue it.

I admit I voted for Bush, (Gore was too far out there for me), but like his daddy before him he went back on his word and abandoned the principles that he espoused when we elected him. In the end he was just like any other politician and was making closed door deals, spending money that we didn’t have, going back on his promises, and trying to create nightmarish immigration and prescription drug programs. I was glad to see him go, but one thing about him that no one should deny is that he did prevent terrorists from striking our country, and he was the one who ended the war in Iraq; not Obama. The truth is the truth.


The arrogance that politicians from all parties have when they expect the American people to be stupid enough to believe their stupid lies appalls me. They call it spin. The people who spread this nonsense are called spin-doctors or spin-masters by the media. I call their spin, lies, and them liars. Our political system perilously sits upon the rim of insanity and is tipping us towards the ruin of our country. Our top leaders should not be blatant liars. The Bible states that lies are straight out of Hell.

I hope the current trend for ordinary people such as the spontaneous assembly of the Tea Party movement to band together to vote the liars and scums out of both parties continues to increase. A candidate who will stand firm and tell the truth is what I want. I also want honesty, transparency, and integrity.

How about you? Is that what you want? Then vote! I admit that it is difficult to find good candidates, but God fearing Christian people do run for office now and then
