Minority for me

A reader recently wrote to me about a WFTD that I wrote with a message of our not being concerned if our Christian based viewpoint is in the minority. I consider this reader submission to be the most powerful argument for simply being on the right side of things and not worrying if the majority is on board or not. It is as follows:

“This reminds me of an interview of Georgia Senator Herman Talmadge by Lawrence Spivak on Meet the Press many years ago. I don’t remember the issue, but Spivak was trying to pin Talmadge down on an issue for which Talmadge was in the minority, but passionately believed in.

Spivak asked in words to the effect ‘Doesn’t it bother you that yours is a minority position Senator?’

To which Talmadge calmly answered, ‘Mistah Spivak, majorities nevah bother me. You know a majority voted to crucify Christ.'”

Stand firm in your belief system and if you are a Christian know that you will undoubtedly be in the minority. Teach young folks not to bend to peer pressure, Hollywood, and/or Godless liberal professors. In large part the majority is really what is wrong with this country today! teen pregnancies, drugs, alcoholism, pornography, adultery, abortion, the homosexual agenda, divorce

The majority is in satan’s grip and are being led by him right over a cliff and into hell like lemmings marching towards the sea. Here is what Jesus said about this subject:

Matt. 7:13
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”
