Foolish

I once had a tremendous amount of money embezzled from me. When I went to the authorities and made my accusations against the crooks, the police questioned the ringleader of the group that stole the money from my company. He told the authorities that “I” was the crook and that my books were “cooked” and that they should be investigating me and not him.

Guess who our illustrious police force and local D.A. believed? They believed him. Get this, I am the victim of the crime and “I” had to go to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation headquarters to take a lie detector test in order to get them to believe me because they believed the psychopathic lying crook and not me. They stated that they would not pursue the charges unless I passed a lie detector test first.

I told them to set it up because I am telling the truth. After the humiliating lie detector test, the examiner came out and told the D.A., “This man is telling the truth”. I thought the D.A. would fall out in the floor because he was so convinced that I was lying. I was so frustrated that I thought I would have an aneurism. Later the grand jury indicted this crook in less than one minute. The evidence was overwhelming against him and yet the D.A. and cops chose to ignore it and just believe what they wanted to believe in spite of it.

I knew an old man who did not believe that the United States ever landed anyone on the moon. He thought the entire thing was a hoax dreamed up by our government for worldwide prestige. He said the video footage was shot in Hollywood, the moon rocks came from Arizona, and the entire thing was just so much malarkey. I talked to the old man about the moon landing until blue in the face, but he was not to be convinced. He died a couple of years back and went to his grave thinking it was all a big hoax.

From time to time I see the same mentality about the holocaust. I went to the holocaust museum and it was hard to go through the entire exhibit. It is nauseating to see the carnage and thought provoking to understand how depraved the human mind can become. How could so many people be involved with such a wicked gruesome massacre of millions of innocent men, women, and children? Now just a few years later there are people denying that it ever occurred. How can anyone deny that it took place with the mounds of hard evidence? People just believe what they want to believe.

I was thinking about this the other day and it reminded me of those who want to deny the existence of God. Once their mind is made up, nothing will convince them. Not prophecies that have come true, not eyewitness accounts by hundreds of people, not historical data, nothing. I once had an atheist friend of mine say that if God would write something in the sky that he would believe. That is just malarkey too. This guy would believe Al Gore really invented the Internet before He would believe in God even if God wrote His name in the sky or on his forehead.

The Bible states that in the last days many will be deceived. It is easy to envision this by thinking of the holocaust. How could Hitler rally otherwise ordinary people to do such monstrous things? Demonic power that are not of this world; he did it with supernatural demonic powers. I can hear the doubters now saying, “OOOOHHHH spooky supernatural powers huh?” The anti-Christ will do the same thing but on a larger scale. OOOOOHHHH another spook only a bigger one.

Sigh We will always have those who refuse to believe and want to mock God. Hmmm It is dangerous business to mock God, but only if you believe I suppose. When they close their eyes for that final time, maybe today, maybe ten years from now, what will happen to those who mock God?
