I spent several hours going through my backlog of projects yesterday afternoon preparing for my trip to Atlanta. I was dismayed at the sheer volume; over one hundred e-mails, voice mail messages, reports that people had labored over, memos, financial reports, marketing campaigns, special requests for action, you name it, my desk is piled high and it just seems limitless. The sad thing is that I will not give any of this stuff the kind of attention that it deserves. Someone might have labored over a report for hours and I will barely have time to scan it. I wish I was young again whereby I could work twenty hours a day and have greater capacity, but alas I don’t have that kind of energy anymore.

I was musing about this problem this morning and my thoughts turned to God. Mere human beings can only imagine what kind of energy that He has and the intellectual capacity to process trillions upon zillions of requests and perform limitless tasks simultaneously. Unlike us, He carefully considers everything and gives it His utmost careful and perfect consideration. No request is too small or trivial and no request is too large. Our God is everywhere at once, He sees everything, hears everything, is all powerful and all knowing and His answers are always perfect and unflawed by limited human logic.

If today you have a problem large or small go to God in prayer. He has the time and the energy to deal with you His child. He actually welcomes it and wants you to confide in Him and trust Him to help you work out the perfect solution to your problems. If you do not have any problems, go to God and thank Him for all that he has given you because having absolutely no problems is indeed a gift from above.

Isaiah 6:3
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of
hosts;
The whole earth is full of His
glory!”
