Many people worry that they do not have the talent to accomplish much for the Lord. This is nonsense. The Lord actually often chooses the direct opposite of what the world would deem a likely candidate to accomplish His work. Moses for example did not want to lead because he viewed himself as a very poor speaker. He shaped Moses into the mighty leader of a nation and used Him to bring His people out of Egypt and to introduce His law to the world through the Ten Commandments.
Basically the Lord sees us in a different light than we see ourselves.
We may think we are fat, ugly, plain, poor public speaker, etc., but the Lord ignores the faults that we center on and sees a diamond glittering in a field of coal. He sees us as an artist sees a weathered piece of wood that he intends to carve into a masterpiece. He does not look at it as an ugly piece of dead wood, but rather as the beautiful masterpiece full of unique features that it will end up when He gets through working it. He looks beyond the piece of raw material that he can shape and carve into its final form.
Don’t sell yourself short. The Lord can make you into anything He wants. Have faith and ask Him to help you to be all you can be for the Lord.
