Remember one thing as you interact with those around you. To the world you might be just one person, but to one person you might be the world.
Did you ever stop to think that you just may be a role model for those around you. Professional athletes are faced with this phenomena and most do not want the job. Why? Because it is difficult to be a role model, especially when someone has too much money and adulation, and not enough maturity and spirituality. They do not lead the kind of life of which they are proud and do not want the responsibility and risk of disappointing folks.
We are all faced with this problem, not just professional athletes.
Chances are that most people reading this are the “world ” to someone.
Obviously you do not want to let anyone down. I know that I don’t. I am a simple human being however, and I am weak. I make mistakes and often those around me are present when my “worldly” side rears its ugly head. When this happens, invariably I feel terrible about letting others down.
My role model, Jesus Christ, never let anyone down and never will. There is a great hymn that undoubtedly was based on Scripture, (1Cor. 4:10), that provides the solution to our dilemma. One of its lyrics goes like
this: “I am weak, but thou art strong”. If you, like me, are having difficulty with this, then call on Him through prayer for the strength that you need in order to live the kind of life of which you, and those who you mean the “world” to, can be proud. God never lets us down; I wish that I never let Him down.
Again, How can I gain the strength that I need? Listen to the advice given to Peter by Jesus Himself in the passage below.

Matt. 26:41
“Watch and pray, lest you enter
into temptation. The spirit indeed
is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Someone is watching!
