Troubling bad news was received this weekend. I cannot think of anything worse. Belief in God among U.S. adults sank to an all-time low this year, according to recent data from a Gallup survey most U.S. adults — 81 percent — believe in God. But while that figure seems high, it is actually the lowest percentage ever reported in this survey. When Gallup asked the same question in 1953, 1954, 1965, and 1967, 98 percent said they believed in God. Up until 2011, over 90 percent said they believed in God, but the number has continued to drop, now down eight points from the 89 percent who expressed belief in God in 2016. The previous low was set in 2014, when 86 percent said they believed in God.
Overall, 17 percent currently say they do not believe in God, and according to the survey’s findings, young people and leftists are the most likely not to believe:
Think about this for a second. Belief in God has fallen the most in recent years among young adults and people on the left of the political spectrum (liberals and Democrats). These groups show drops of 10 or more percentage points comparing the 2022 figures to an average of the 2013-2017 polls. The groups with the largest declines are also the groups that are currently least likely to believe in God, i.e. liberals (62%), young adults (68%), and Democrats (72%). Belief in God is highest among political conservatives (94%) and Republicans (92%), reflecting that religiosity is a major determinant of political divisions in the U.S.
This was expected by me and others who study the Bible because Bible prophecy tells us that it will occur as we draw near the End Times . . . The immorality rampant in society today is a symptom of mankind’s rebellion against God. Abortion, homosexuality, drug abuse, and child molestation are proof that “evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse”. We are now living in a hedonistic and materialistic society. People are lovers of themselves and doing what is right in their own eyes. All these things, and many more, can be seen around us every day. 2 Timothy 3:1 – But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
I trust no one is shocked by this today. Just look at the main issues of the Democrats and liberals and THINK. I don’t include young people because they are being brainwashed by the Democrats and liberals who control the institutions of learning in this society. This clearly identifies to all but the most stubborn who we are battling.
Can we win?
The good news is that we WILL win the war and, in the end, Jesus will reign Supreme and will be victorious against all who oppose Him. The bad news for so many is they will lose their very souls unless somehow, they can be reached. Pray for the lost and do what you can while there is yet time. The delusion they are experiencing will be the death of them and I’m not just talking about a physical death, rather a spiritual one.
The Bible makes it clear why God is sending a strong delusion in the end times: “They perish because they refused to love the truth and be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” Simply put, God sends a strong delusion to those who choose not to believe the gospel of Christ. Those who take delight in mocking and rejecting Him, He will condemn.
Throughout the Scriptures, God urges people to accept the truth. But when people reject Him and spurn His message, then — and not until then — God hardens them and turns them over to a deluded mind to wallow in their wickedness to their eternal damnation. Try to reach them now before it is too late, and they choose darkness rather than light. This is what the Lord says about those who choose to reject the truth:
Jeremiah 14:10
“They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the Lord does not accept them; He will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins”.
