I remember a few years back when an Olympic athlete from the United States accomplished the “impossible”. His name was Rudon Gardner and what he did was defeat Russian super heavyweight Alexander Karelin for the gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling. Lest you think this is some small accomplishment consider the following. Karelin had never lost a match. Never in 13 years. In fact, no one had ever even scored a point against him in 10 years.

He had won three straight Olympic gold medals in this competition. His nickname was “The Destroyer” and some competitors simply conceded rather than get battered by him.

Now consider Rudon Gardner. He was a 29-year-old from Wyoming who had never won a world or even an NCAA title. Actually, his highest finish ever was fifth in world competition.

Going into the match he was given virtually no chance of winning. The announcer stated that the only reason he had been able to get this far in the competition was because of his excellent conditioning. This young man lived on a dairy farm and was in excellent physical shape and had in effect been able to wear his opponents down rather than finesse his way through matches with technique.

Rudon Gardner did the impossible, he won the match. The perplexed superstar Karelin could do nothing with the bulldog determination of the well-conditioned Gardner.

Rudon was interviewed after the match and was asked to comment on how he had been able to pull off the largest upset in Olympic history. He replied, “I guess that just goes to show you that you can accomplish the impossible if you work hard enough”. He also said repeatedly that he was thankful to the Lord for blessing him with ability.

The combination of the Lord’s blessings and hard work enabled him to capture the” impossible” gold. Rudon’s hard work paid off. He became an international celebrity and a national hero. If you want to know how to we can accomplish the impossible? Follow Rudon Gardner’s lead, work hard and have a close personal relationship with God.

Now we know that it is possible to change this woke country. We have a formula to follow, it begins with God and ends with hard work. Don’t know where to start? Try voting and those who can stomach it run for public office. We need good people in every area, especially the school boards . . .

Luke 1:37
“For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Have a great weekend and go to church this Sunday!
