Someone asked for my opinion on Covid a couple of days ago. My opinion is probably similar to yours in some ways. It’s difficult to get a grip on what is true and what is not true about anything in these days of lies in which we live. It seems that those who control the media have made this issue political and thus it is a giant spin machine. I’m convinced that if someone came along with a total cure that worked 100% of the time and was not in the right political party they would be portrayed as a crazy person by the other side of our divided nation.
As for me I got vaccinated with Moderna and will probably take the booster, though I want to wait until it has been tested by far more people. My dilemma is not so much me as my wife who has so many residual side effects from breast cancer and chemo including blood clots and damaged lungs, her diminished breathing capacity will probably kill her if she contracts it.
I used to get the flu every year and finally began taking the vaccination and haven’t had it since. Thus, I’m not afraid to take the shot. I, like most of you, have known several people who died from Covid which appears to be an advanced wicked case of the flu. I do not believe it is anything to be toyed with and I wash my hands and avoid contact where I can. My wife and I have decided, however, not to live in seclusion, and we are living our lives. If we die we will join Jesus.
As for how the virus started, I believe the most plausible explanation is that the Chinese were manufacturing bio-weapons and somehow this virus escaped the lab in Wuhan.
On the conspiracy side, I did recently hear that many multi-billionaires including Bill Gates went to a conference in Davos Switzerland to address, among other things, population control. During the discussions, a worldwide epidemic was discussed as a means to control our burgeoning world population. Two months after the conference Covid was reality. I have no idea if that is true or maybe a coincidence or not, but I don’t put anything past the demonic elite of this wicked-wicked world.
However it was created and dispersed, I sincerely believe it is one of the birth pangs that must occur leading to the return of Jesus and the rapture that He discussed with his disciples. The Bible states it and I believe it! The followers of Jesus asked Him when He would return and He mentioned several things that had to happen first including increased immorality, violence and hatred of the worst kind, pestilence, earthquakes, armies surrounding Israel, globalization and a universal currency to name a few.
As I’ve mentioned several times in this forum, I sincerely believe we are now living in those last days. Satan feels the pressure and has intensified his quest to take as many of us as possible with him when he goes down in flames. This is all the more reason to lead Godly lives and stay close to Jesus.
One thing to keep in mind on this beautiful Friday morning is that even with the bad news in these prophecies, Jesus tells us “do not be troubled.” The only way we will not feel worried or downright disturbed by such news as wars, famines, diseases, earthquakes are if we are unshakable in our faith in Him. We must trust that God is good, that He loves us, and that we, His children, are in the palm of His hand. There is no need for fear when we believe!
As for the exact time, no one knows except God the Father. Jesus said that in the future, there would be many signs of the end of the age, but as to knowing exactly when these things will be, He stated: “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only” (Matthew 24:36). He did mention things that would occur prior to it though. (Hebrew definition of “Pestilence” is disease or plague.)
Luke 21:11
“And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.”
