Much like a Cat 5 hurricane, 2020 has left a wake of destruction in its path. What would you think is the biggest casualty? Many might think it was President Trump, but that is not even close. We lost something in this country that is far more important than an individual, we lost the truth.
It is no longer possible to know the truth in our country. Should I wear a mask for Covid? Some doctors insist that wearing masks will save us all, others who are just as qualified are adamant that masks are useless. Some experts say we are facing global warming that will end the planet, others who have just as many degrees say that it is just a big ruse and we are in normal weather cycles that have gone on for years. Not an issue is immune.
By now we have all hear the Democrat version of the recent invasion of the capital building. Someone sent me an alternative view written by someone who claims to have witnessed the entire event. His version is quite different of what we have seen on television. Who is telling the truth? I have no idea and therein lies the problem. It is rather lengthy but if you are interested in hearing another side of the story read it and decide for yourself.

“So, I want to set the record straight about what happened in DC on Wednesday at the Capital Building. I was there on the Mall at 0730 and at an excellent vantage point at the Capital from 1230-1600, along with a number of guys. We witnessed EVERYTHING that occurred outside the Capital Building.
First, the general mood of the rally was similar to that of a County Fair. I remarked earlier in the day on the diversity of people attending. All sizes, shapes, colors, ages, and nationalities. I met people from Spain, Australia, and Canada. I met folks from SC, TX, NH, MN, MI, CA, FL, MO, and VA, as well as others from NC. It was a festive atmosphere, if cold, with speeches by political types punctuated by pop music over the loud speakers. Old people, some with walkers, families, children, and babies in strollers. People danced.
The central theme of the speeches was that election integrity was important and the collected evidence needed to be heard so that our election integrity could be improved for the future.
Now, skipping ahead to the evening after I returned to my hotel, I watched CBS news report on the day’s events. Their reporting completely misrepresented what had actually occurred. Most egregiously, they repeatedly stated that President Trump had incited the crowd to riot and storm the Capital. Notably, they did not show any video of him actually doing this. I heard his speech live when he came to the podium. What he actually said was that the crowd should peacefully march down to the Capital and cheer on those Senators and Congressional Representatives that were inside standing up for the rule of law and election integrity. He made a point of saying to be peaceful. AT NO TIME DID HE IN ANY WAY SUGGEST A RIOT OR THE BREACH OF THE CAPITAL GROUNDS, MUCH LESS THE CAPITAL BUILDING ITSELF.
We arrived at the Capitol before the crowd breached the Capitol grounds. Several of us were positioned atop a wall at the perimeter of the grounds where we had an excellent vantage point to witness all the subsequently transpired. We saw the several white courtesy buses arrive at the Capitol on the First St entrance to the grounds, accompanied by a DC police escort front and rear. There is video evidence of known ANTIFA dressed as Trump supporters getting off these buses and proceeding to move to the barricades in front of the Capitol grounds to speak briefly with the Capitol police on duty. They subsequently used bullhorns to begin inciting the crowd to breach the Capitol barricades and fencing, shouting “It’s the people’s house! It’s our house! Let us in!”
These ANTIFA were at the forefront of moving the barricades surrounding the Capitol grounds so that the crowd could move through. The Capitol police offered no resistance and in fact retreated immediately back to the Capitol Building, allowing the ANTIFA-led crowd to surge onto the grounds. Other ANTIFA remained at the various entrances to the Capitol grounds and diligently ushered Trump supporters onto the grounds and directed them to move forward all the way to the Capitol steps.
The ANTIFA instigators subsequently led the people upon onto the Capitol steps and terraces. Most of the people took seats in the bleachers erected thereon, while ANTIFA led the people up to the rear doors of the Capitol itself to engage the Capitol Police. At this point the Capitol Police used the occasional non-lethal flash-bang grenade and tear gas to engage the crowd, but not so tactically as to cause the crowd to disperse. In fact, Capitol Police would repeatedly engage the crowd, then retreat, only to re-emerge to engage the crowd again. This happened several times and only served to further provoke the crowd to oppose them without achieving and real objective, other than perhaps to enrage the crowd.
ANTIFA members then produced various tools (crowbars and hammers) and began to try to break into the Capitol Building. Several Trump supporters attempted to stop them but unsuccessfully. The Capitol doorway was breached and some of the crowd began to pour into the Capitol Building at this point.
It should be known that a number of the ‘Trump supporters’ that initiated all the mayhem and violence were subsequently positively identified from previous riot in other cities as ANTIFA wearing Trump paraphernalia.
It should be remembered that contrary to media reportage, Trump NEVER incited the crowd to do anything that was not peaceful.
It should be remembered that ANTIFA was brought to the scene in a number of police-escorted shuttle buses, indicating a clear coordination between the police and ANTIFA.
It should also be known that there appeared to be some level of scripted coordination between the ANTIFA and the Capitol Police. The door to the Capitol Building is a high security door that could not have been breached, suggesting that someone on the inside opened the door for them to allow entrance. Capitol Police did nothing to prevent the initial breaching of the Capitol perimeter, and in fact retreated allowing the crowd unimpeded access, which would have been the most effective opportunity to keep the crowd from entering the Capitol grounds to begin with.
The misrepresentation by the news media of these events is disgusting. It is no wonder that those watching the edited film and commentary on television are saddened and disgusted by the apparent actions of Trump supporters at the rally. However, it should be lost on no one that their actions were fomented by malevolent ANTIFA actors with the express intent of causing blame to fall on the Trump supporters and, by extension, the President.”
So is this man lying or is CNN and the usual media lying? What is the truth?
The media has taken sides. Right wing outlets give their opinions and left wing outlets give theirs. The left wing has won the battle capturing every major network and most of the cable shows. They have captured all of the social media companies and powerful technology companies such as Twitter, Google, Facebook, Apple, YouTube, Snapchat, and these kingmakers are deciding who can freely express their opinions. They use algorithms that monitor everything written, including this column, which I expect will be banned at some point, 24/7.
When they discover words that they consider to be an infraction they actively deactivate them and they are gone. Those would be conservative positions. There is no free speech left.
Thus the alternative right wing position is effectively muted and we only hear their voice. The nation and the world are left with one position. This puts us in a quasi-police state of those checking our speech to ensure it meets the party line which is not any different than other societies that manipulate their people like Communist China, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, an entire host of African countries and others.
Even if we had some right wing views expressed, we are still left not knowing what the truth is. Questions like: Should we get a vaccination, withhold our kids from school, not attend church or celebrations like Thanksgiving and Christmas, wear a mask, eat at a restaurant, allow Iran to amass nukes, open our borders to anyone who wants to come here illegally, give away trillions of borrowed dollars? Cannot be answered absent the truth.
When I was a businessman, I needed truth in order to make good, informed decisions. The truth is no longer available. So we are left to common sense and figuring it out on our own. That means we are in deep trouble.
There is only one truth and it is God’s Holy Word. The Bible is truth my friends and of course there are more and more of those who say it is a bunch of lies written by old men in ancient times. That sentiment is predicted to occur in the End Days within its covers.
I have a news flash for them that they can believe for it is true. The Bible is Holy and true: The Bible has been around for thousands of years and will never go away regardless of what pseudo intellectuals espouse or try to do to eliminate it. God is on the throne and he laughs at the evil despots who think they have conquered the world and are gloating at their achievements. Put your faith in God and His Holy Word and patiently await His deliverance of His children. Him, you can count on.
