I thought I’d heard it all but during last week’s interview with YouTube sensation and boxer Jake Paul, former ESPN talker Jemele Hill who is black asked Paul who is white if it was “racist” for him to have knocked out his black opponent, Nate Robinson, last month. Her verbatim question was: “Considering where we are right now in our racial conversation in America, was what you did to Nate Robinson racist?”

At first Paul simply tried to blow it off and said boxing was a sport and that a knockout is what boxers train for. She responded, “Listen, it’s a sensitive time right now, we just had to witness a white man knock out a black man smooth out in front of all of America.” He then was asked the same question again. At this point Paul had enough of being tarred as a racist, and said, “Stop asking me that. I said NO! It’s a *&@$## question, it’s a sport.”

Can it be that the woke generation wants white athletes to allow black athletes to win in order to prove they are not racists? I couldn’t even make something like that up. How can someone even think like that much less get a job on national television?

I’d thought maybe college sports could provide some much needed relief from such “Woke” diatribe. But I’m convinced that parts of our nation are half witted morons. For example the women’s basketball team at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, plans to protest the national anthem for the rest of this year’s season by sitting in the locker room. They wrote in part: Every time we put on a black and gold jersey, we feel the responsibility as ambassadors of our University, role models to young girls, and members of your community.” Excuse me but the country doesn’t need any more imbecile role models at the present; we have plenty enough already many of which reside in Hollywood and NYC.

Bob Dylan sang the lyrics, “The Times they are a-changing.” I understand that each generation wants to make their mark, but this type of thinking makes me wonder who raised these kids and who taught them in school?

Ah . . . no use ranting about it. God will sort it out, albeit it might take a while. In the meantime I suppose for those of us who just want to enjoy some peace of mind we must understand that there is virtually nothing in any form of sports, or media that will provide it. More church, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, guitar playing, lobster harvesting, and so on seems to be the direction I need to go. The times they are a-changing alright, but I don’t intend to follow like a lemming and buy into the WOKE propaganda brain washing machine. I just worry about how all of this will affect my grandchildren . . .

I trust them to You Lord. Please watch over them and protect them from thinking what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong.
Amen . . .

For those of you who are interested about my doctor visit yesterday, I must undergo more tests, but it is inevitable that I submit to lower back surgery. It is my only option to find relief for my ailing back. I don’t look forward to the operation or recovery but really look forward to getting things fixed up and getting pain free. Been suffering from this for ten years and just like the pain of watching our country go down the sewer enough is enough.

How sweet it will be when we get to heaven and every race, people, tribe from all nations will love one another and our Creator Jesus will reign over us with divine love for all . . .

Revelation 7:9
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands
