I watched the debate in its entirety last night. Biden seemed to hold it together under withering difficult questioning about his and his family’s illicit gains from China, Russia, and Ukraine, but towards the end he seemed to get really tired and confused and could not put his thoughts into words.
I don’t think the debate will change many minds. The choice is clear. Trump made the point that Biden and Obama had eight years to do all the things he promises but they didn’t do a single one of them; what made him think this time would be any different. He couldn’t answer that one.
Biden said he would represent every American and the talking heads tried to make hay with that one, but it seemed like so much bull to me. He looks at Trump supporters as the lowest of the low and spews as much hatred as the next Democrat.
The real crux of the matter to Christians however should be about obeying God. I’m not of the Catholic faith but read this piece this morning and couldn’t agree more.
FROM THE CHRISTIAN NEWS SERVICE & FRANKLIN GRAHAM
(CNS News) — Pastor Ed Meeks, who leads Christ The King Catholic Church in Towson, Md., told his congregation that there are three “non-negotiables” for Catholics when it comes to voting: sanctity of life, sanctity of marriage, and religious liberty.
As for Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden, Fr. Meeks said the “Democrat Party is the Party of Death” and Biden is its leader. Here is the essence of the video: Click here to watch the video.
Fr. Meeks’ message was so succinct that Protestant Rev. Franklin Graham promoted it on Facebook, stating, “it really is this clear. I’m not a Catholic, but Father Ed Meeks states the facts that in this election we are facing biblical and moral issues that should be vitally important to all people of faith. Take a minute to listen to this.”
In his Oct. 11 sermon, Fr. Meeks said, “In all of the fog and the confusion and spin that surrounds every political season, we must, as faithful Catholics, conscientiously vote in such a way that best upholds and protects these non-negotiable values: the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage, and religious liberty.”
“Joe Biden is unabashedly pro-abortion,” said Fr. Meeks. “This fact is clear from his long voting record, and from his party’s platform, not only in this election year, but in their platform going back decades.”
“He and they support abortion for any reason or for no reason, right up to and even beyond the moment of birth,” Meeks added.
“He and they opposed the effort in Congress to pass legislation requiring doctors who perform abortions to provide medical care to babies who survive the abortion, opting rather to let such babies die,” said Fr. Meeks.
“The Democratic Party has become the Party of Death and Catholic Joe Biden is their standard-bearer,” he said.
“Joe Biden opposes the church’s teaching on the sanctity of marriage,” said the pastor. “While he was vice president he publicly endorsed same-sex ‘marriage’ in 2012, three years before the Supreme Court ruling. And in 2016 while still the vice president he officiated over the ‘wedding’ ceremony of two men.”
Fr. Meeks also discussed how Biden wants to repeal the Hyde Amendment, an action that would result in U.S. taxpayers paying for abortions.

So if you haven’t voted or made up your mind and you are a Christian think about this long and hard before casting your vote. Though many of the left’s policies seem popular today, even a cursory look at the Holy Scripture states otherwise. Obey your God and disavow sin. Peter and the other apostles made it clear who we should be listening to.
Acts 5:29
Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather
than human beings!
Have a great weekend and go to church this Sunday . . .
