I was sickened to learn that California has passed legislation that would ease the criminal punishment for LGBT adults who sodomize or perform oral sex on underage teenagers.
S.B. 145 was introduced by state Sen. Scott Wiener (D), who is openly gay, and was approved by the state Senate in a 23-10 vote and passed by the Assembly in a 41-18 vote.
If signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), which is likely, the legislation will require judges to use discretion in assigning an individual to the sex offender registry if their victim is between the ages of 14 and 17 and the age difference of the offender and victim is no more than 10 years.
Homosexuals have been fighting for the right to sexually assault children for some time and now they have a green light to go after kids with no fear of even having to list themselves as sex offenders. As usual California leads the way and keep in mind it will not end there. This is merely the first step towards legalization of their perverted lust to molest children . . .
I have a condition in my eyes called Macular Degeneration. Unless I’m in good light I cannot see very well. I have to use a flashlight to see things in a closet and other dark places, and I cannot read a menu at a restaurant without my cell phone light. I went up to my plantation earlier this week and there are almost no street lamps anywhere in the vicinity. I could barely see well enough to drive and I almost had a car crash due to it.
I was thinking of the correlation of my eye condition and the world. The world is growing dark because of the absence of the light of Jesus and is in danger of crashing soon. Many of the calamities that besiege us are a result of blocking the light that comes from our Lord. Unlike Macular Degeneration which is currently incurable and continues to get worse the older one gets until it reaches the point of total blindness, (if you live long enough,) the condition of the world on the other hand is entirely curable. We just need a dose of the Ghost as in the Holy Spirit. It does not ensure that everyone will take a dose because we all have a free will, but the option is there.
Whenever a Christian that I know dies, I immediately think of Psalms 23:4 – Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
What is fascinating is that this verse mentions the valley of the SHADOW of death. It has given me some insight into how we should approach God, death, and the darkness of this world. It is impossible to see a shadow when approaching light. What this means to me is that if we walk through the valley of the shadow of death (or any of our valleys) and keep our eyes focused ahead on Jesus, (the source of all light,) we will never even see a shadow. It will harmlessly be trailing along behind us and I doubt anyone will be looking back.
We need not ever fear death or the ever-dimming darkness of this world because we are going to a place where there are no shadows or death and all of heaven will be illuminated by God’s light and grace.
So as the world turns more and more wicked and dark, don’t be anxious. Relax and await the call of the archangel’s trumpet calling us home with anxious anticipation of enjoying the thrill of victory in Jesus.
Psalm 16:8
I have set the LORD always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
